Pretty sure I missed those too. And well past 60. Actually middle 70’s. Which is 72-78 in my reasoning. ๐ณ๐๐
Itโs weird, huh?
~"Because they want to."
I can vouch for the ‘age 60’ aspect.
Lost 1-2 steps of burst speed at that age.
New study finds researchers in the medial field rapidly acquire massive grant funds when compared to other fields’ grant mongers.
My father lived to 103 and my mom 99. So let’s see if I can mess this up. :)
Apparently, participating in a debate can age a person decades.
According the mainstream media, Joe Biden went from a sharp, fit person in full command of his office before his debate with Trump to a senile shell of a man who was unfit to run for re-election immediately afterward.
I had several age related issues in my 50’s.
Luckily I quit working and took up golf, playing 200+ rounds of 18 every year. Must have helped coz now at age 84, have no health issues, zero medical expenses out of pocket. Quit golf at age 76 due to moving to Florida. Now it is beach walks every week day, except when hurricanes are present.
So what age did it hit Tim A-Walz?
Exercise, eat rationally and intermittent fast, my brothers and sisters. It will keep you younger.
My observation from watching older family members is that the real decline happens in their late 70s. They go from active and able to travel overseas to frail and house-bound within a year or two.
Iโm 61. Someone the other day told me that I look early 50โs. Maybe itโs because I refuse to grow up.
For men; drink 15 gallons of water a month along with sex 21 times a month, and you’re good to go!
Sixty hit Tim Walz very hard.
Turn 61 in three weeks.
No wrinkles

Since covid, I am immediately suspicious of anything that starts out with “Studies show” or “Studies indicate” or “Studies reveal”. Blah, blah, blah. I’m 74, still cut and split firewood, mow my own lawn, whack my own weeds, shop, cook, and enjoy a good bourbon. My hair is snow white, but I have plenty of it, and no wrinkles. If I died my air, I could pass for 50, no problem. Stick your “studies” where the sun don’t shine. We’re not all alike, and that’s a good thing.
Define rapid.
I looked my best between 45-50. But, I was a late bloomer so always looked younger.
After my bone marrow transplant for aml at 50, the aging happened fast.
I am in my 70s and the only thing I can add to this discussion is that “old age” sort of just creeps up on you.
You don’t know when it starts but at some point you discover you can no longer do things you used to do (like running, or long walks, or working on a project all day). It does not happen all at once. Just little things until you realize you are old. Strange thing to say, but your mind plays tricks on you. I don’t know how long it was before I discovered I was no longer a teenager follow by the discovery I am no longer a middle age man.
I am an old man in an old body. I still walk every day, and still work in my garden but the walks are not as long and my time in the garden is more time resting between doing something.
To be honest I never thought I would live past 18 (Vietnam infantryman) so every year I have had since has been a bonus so I will wear this old body with pride until we move on to the next stage ...
