Deep State Plutocrats Have Nowhere to Hide
American Thinker ^ | 14 Aug, 2024 | J.B. Shurk

Big Government and Big Business are two sides of the same coin.

The worst mistake the Deep State ever made was to turn conservatives against Big Business. Traditionally, fighting corporate power was the purview of the political left. Conservatives have generally backed “free markets” because they despise socialism’s predilection for choosing economic winners and losers. Conservative voters have long seen government regulation as more of a threat than Wall Street wheeling and dealing.

This makes sense. American conservatives largely embrace the principles of the Founding Fathers’ laissez-faire liberalism, and many share policy preferences that overlap with today’s self-described libertarians. For conservatives, the left’s “politics of envy” is unappealing. The left’s desire to redistribute private property within some sort of Marxist system is seen as a dangerous impulse toward legalized theft. The left’s love for collectivism over individual freedom is regarded as insidious. Voters who support limited government do not tend to care how Sam Walton became a millionaire. They are much more likely to applaud individual success as the product of hard work and innovation.

Times are changing, though. Over the last forty years, middle-class Americans who put their faith in “free markets” have gotten smacked upside the head by corporate interests time and again. The savings and loan scandal, pension scams, derivatives-juiced market crashes, the housing collapse, the offshoring of good jobs, tech bubbles, predatory lending, reverse mortgages, and countless other corporate schemes have left working-class Americans in dire straits. All of these various gut punches have produced a kind of “awakening” among “live free or die” Americans: “free markets” are an illusion, and the economic game is rigged.

To be clear, freedom-loving Americans of every generation have known that powerful economic interests manipulate markets and take what is not theirs. When private bankers conspired with corrupt congressmen...

Yes, two sides of the same coin. Especially when businesses go woke and try to enforce wokeness on their customers.

Big Government and Big Business are two sides of the same coin.

In another day and time this would be called Corporatism, also known as Fascism.

JMO, YMMV

When I was in school, I had many teachers who wanted to teach about Marxism. Some of them liked it, some of them didn’t. But it seemed to be a standard view in liberal arts that everyone ought to at least understand what Marxism was all about.

But they never teach anyone about fascism.

In my view, we absolutely have a fascist system in the US and in most of the West. Sure, the Germans lost WWII — but the fascists won.

Big businesses crush little businesses. Big businesses become rich — just so long as they run their business the way the government wants them to. And government becomes rich and powerful — just so long as they serve the interests of the business class. It’s symbiotic. But ordinary people get screwed at both ends.

Big Government and Big Business are two sides of the same coin...

That coin is called classic fascism. We absorbed and refined for domestic purposes the very economic systems we fought in WW2.

The source of the problem in the Deep State and corporate America is the Ivy League. Since early in the 20th century, they were targeted by communists eager to infect the U.S.

Now the job is complete. The Ivy League and many, many other colleges and universities that fashion themselves after the Ivy League are pure Marxist indoctrination centers.

And, BTW, when the communists developed their program for infecting America with their putrid ideology, colleges and universities weren't their only targets.

Black communities received equal attention.

Just take a look at Obama and his mentor Frank Marshall Davis (Communist Party ID #47544).

What we have in this country is called "regulatory capture". Government and Big Business are in bed together. Where have treasury secretaries and chairmen of the SEC come from?....straight from the big banks and they go straight back to the big banks as soon as they are out of office.

FDA Chairmen? From and straight back to Big Pharma

Intel Agencies? From and to Big Tech. Big Tech is absolutely littered with (supposedly) ex Feds.

The Pentagon? They retire and go straight to senior positions for the Defense Contractors.

The list goes on. What does anybody think they do when they are in office? OF COURSE they do whatever the big corporations want knowing that if they play ball, there's a big fat payday waiting for them from those same corporations. If that means enacting regulation that benefits the large corporations by crushing smaller competitors, they're only too happy to do it. "Take the vax!"....."buy this super expensive white elephant weapons system"...etc

It works the other way too. Those in government such as people who work for intel agencies can lobby Big Tech and get them to censor and ban their political opponents. They can lean on the Big Banks to de-bank political opponents, etc

Government and Big Business in bed together and doing each other's bidding has a name. Its called "Corporatism". That is, literal fascism. That's what we have.

PS. I think the FIB and other intel agencies are going to come to regret making their traditional supporters - Conservatives - their enemies as well. Many of us on the Right will neither forgive nor forget their treachery.

This nation (and others) has been successfully infiltrated.

Over time, our universities, primary education, entertainment, news organizations, tech sector, banking, healthcare, etc have all been co-opted by the left, throwing their support behind every socialist/fascist cause.

It is amazing that conservatives even have a chance in elections at this point….but that probably will end soon.

The same has happened in Europe and other Western nations. You see a conservative push-back by voters, only to be quickly squashed by the entrenched leftists in gov’t and industry who continue on their march to implement their agenda.

There’s an unprecedented grand convergence of media, large corporations, academia, entertainment, and government that seeks to oppress, censor, extort and control the public.
This is neofeudalism.

I think you are absolutely correct.

That's what the Elite Globalists are all about. The globalists may act friendly to the communists, but they are merely taking advantage of them to install their one-world dictatorship. They are using Marxism/communism as a front.

The Elites aren't ideologues. They just want control.

All of government, most of corp. America are employees of the Deep State.

All the talk of them "running scared" is manure.

Finance, education, media, governance...THEY control the strings to them all.

Parasites live for 1 purpose...an insatiable appetite to devour everything.

They've had 70+ years to perfect the recipe.

They view everyone else as willful and/or ignorant...ingredients.

That was when corporations were American. Now they despise and trash everything about America. They care more about foreign workers and trade. And they insult Americans as they do so. They lament the greed of labor as executive pay has soared orders of magnitude in the last few decades. They push homosexuality, hate for whites and men. They push the global warming crap and endless wars.

And we are supposed to rush to their defense?

Go ahead, you know the word. The blending of state and corporate power.

The Deep State is prima facie evidence that self-government no longer exists. In its place, extremely wealthy people use the Federal Reserve as their personal piggy bank, the Intelligence Community as their personal spies, the DOJ and FBI as their personal police force, the corporate press as their personal public relations team, and the U.S. military as their personal resource acquisition division. The president and Congress are nothing more than the organ grinder’s dancing monkey — there to distract the public while doing the bidding of those with real power.

This is from the article. Seems to put into a nutshell what we mean when we say "Deep State". The article goes on and says that the biggest problem the DS has with Donald Trump is that he actually wants to be President and govern like one.
