RUSSIAN citizens in Belgorod have been urged to take shelter in their basements after Ukraine's triumphant invasion.
Some 121,000 people have fled Kursk as Vladimir Putin's crony governor admitted Kyiv forces now control over 28 towns in the borderland region.
As Ukraine pushes its impressive invasion further into a second region, Belgorod, citizens there are also being told to evacuate.
Belgorod governor Vyacheslav Gladkov wrote in a Telegram message on Monday: "The entire territory of the Belgorod region is a MISSILE DANGER.
"Go down to the basement. Stay there until you receive the signal 'all clear missile danger.'"
Around 11,000 people have been evacuated from the Krasnoyaruzhsky district in Belgorod, Russian outlet TASS reports.

Yes Putin orchestrated an incredibly bloody two year stalemate on Ukrainian soil because he is a genius and orchestrated a Russian defeat on Russian soil because he is a genius. The genius keeps geniusing.
The Russians spent their money to give the North Vietnamese and Taliban weapons, why shouldn’t we Return the favor
Yes, he is, and I really hope this doesn’t go nuclear, as I’m sure most of us do.
Moreover, redeployment to meet the Ukrainian invasion at Kursk may open up weaknesses elsewhere, such as in the defense of Crimea. If so, this move by Ukraine may be the opening in a larger and more complex operation that aims at more consequential results. The loss of Crimea and the troops stationed there could prove to be a decisive blow against Russia.
The desperation of Ukrainian and NATO authorities is full blown and on display in the Kursk region and the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant. If you’re reading the legacy media, they cheering and celebrating the “smashing” Ukrainian victory and the utter embarrassment of Vladimir Putin. Only one teeny, tiny problem — it is bullshit.
Yes, this portion of Russia’s border was lightly defended, but when the attack came Russia countered immediately and has killed more than 50% of the invaders. Along with a body count in excess of 1300 Ukrainian and foreign mercenaries, Russia destroyed most of the tanks and armored personnel carriers. And, despite claims that Ukraine captured and controlled the village of Sudzha, the Russians are in control and mopping up desperate Ukrainians trying to avoid capture or death.
The objective of the Ukrainian attack was the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant, which is some 30 kilometers north of Sudzha. In light of today’s Ukrainian drone attack on one of the cooling towers at the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP), it is clear the attack in Kursk was part of a broader Ukrainian plan to try to create some negotiating leverage with Russia. That has failed and, in the process of Russia’s counterattack, some of the best remaining Ukrainian brigades are being destroyed.
Actually what saved Kyiv were the arms that Trump had sent Ukraine. At the point the invasion started that’s all they had from the US were what Trump sent and some old MREs that Obama had sent when Crimea was overtaken.
What Belarus doink? lol!
“I’m really surprised that Russia had not prepared for this.
It’s not exactly a surprise move.”
putin/russia may be low on resources.
More like Joshua Chamberlain and Gettysburg in 1863. The Russians have been charging up Little Round Top for two and a half years at enormous cost, now the Ukrainians are charging them, and will flank them.
This is very curious! All of the sudden, a medium sized country with very few assets, begins to overcome one of the most powerful nations on earth! Very strange!
P.S. We'll spending next weekend in the city of Kazan as part of my church delegation. I'm looking forward to it as I've never been there. I heard it's a beautiful city.
Posts inflate Libyan civilian deaths caused by NATO in 2011
https://apnews.com/article/fact-checking-617123650281
“Estimates for how many civilians were killed during the NATO campaign range from under 100 to just over 400.
The U.N.-appointed Commission of Inquiry on Libya investigated some of the airstrikes and found that while NATO did not intentionally target civilians, 60 civilians were killed and 55 were wounded, the AP reported in March 2012.
Separately, Human Rights Watch concluded in a May 2012 report that at least 72 civilians were killed by NATO airstrikes. In March 2021, Airwars, a group that tracks civilian harm in conflict zones, estimated that NATO strikes caused 223 to 403 likely civilian deaths.”
But the claim is false, experts told the AP. No credible estimates support the assertions that tens of thousands of civilians were killed by NATO airstrikes. Some independent organizations have identified at least dozens of civilian casualties.”””
Well, it seems to have worked before, like in Georgia (the country)...maybe they thought it would work again.
An example of the accuracy in that post is the mention of mercenaries, Ukraine doesn’t have mercenaries, all of it’s fighters are legal members of the Ukraine military, including foreign volunteers, it is like the French Army’s French Foreign Legion, it is not like the Russian mercenary groups for hire.
After all, when the GloboHomoNazi Oligarchs accomplish that goal, there will be no owners of Ukraine natural resources and land, so it's all theirs for Free!
Such a deal!
That's an important distinction, because when they are killed they will be more legally dead, and compliance with International "Law" will get them expedited entrance to Hell.
Tucker Carlson bashed Russian President Vladimir Putin’s justification for invading Ukraine, claiming that the “denazification” of the country was “one of the dumbest things I’d ever heard.”
https://www.newsweek.com/tucker-carlson-throws-putin-under-bus-1874897
Why would I care what Tucker Carlson says?
It is a VERY important legal distinction, it is why Russian propaganda keeps announcing that the foreign volunteers will be treated as mercenaries rather than soldiers.
