Ukrainian troops have been pictured in the village of Poroz in Russia's Belgorod region, opening yet another front after invading Kursk earlier this week.
Unconfirmed videos widely shared on social media appeared to show members of the Georgian Legion and the 252nd Territorial Defence Battalion in front of the village club in Poroz just 2km from the Ukrainian border.
While thousands of Ukraine's troops have stormed into Kursk Oblast to the north, this is the first time they have been pictured in Belgorod, opening yet another front inside Russia.
Poroz is around 80km (50 miles) southeast of Pehklovo in the Kursk region, which Ukrainian troops have also reached as part of their earlier incursion.
Unconfirmed reports suggest Ukrainian forces entered Poroz under the cover of artillery fire.

We better beware. China isnt the next global superpower...Ukraine is.
—> With all the Putin trolls here
I’ve never met one on FR, but if you know their identities, name them and cc Jim!
Also, annotate your list with some evidence to prove to Jim they are “Putin trolls” - perhaps a quote of some of their posts.
“major rail lines already cut to the north”
In WW2, the Germans were able repair rail lines quickly.
Railway bridges are harder to repair.
It should be remembered that when the Germans retreated on the Eastern Front, they would blow up the bridges. That didn’t stop the Red Army from getting to Berlin.
“According to the results of January-February 2024, the volume of truck production in Russia increased by 53.1 percent compared to the same period in 2023 and reached the level of 28.2 thousand units.”
The way Russia is setup for logistics is rail only. Trucks they make are light and not suited for moving masses of goods like in the West. UKR drones are in love with Russian cargo trucks.
They need fleets of 18 wheelers, forklifts, pallets, and wrap - none of which they have - loading and unloading is done by hand, all goods are pilled up. Little effort is made to sort piles.

On 21 April 2023, the Lefortovo District court in Moscow, Russia issued an arrest warrant against Budanov in relation to the 2022 Ukrainian attack on the Crimean Bridge. Budanov commented on the warrant, stating, “I am pleased. This is a good indicator of our work, and I promise to work even better.”
A spokesman for Ukrainian military intelligence said in 2023 that there had been more than ten assassination attempts on Budanov. In November 2023 his wife, Marianna Budanova, was poisoned with unspecified heavy metals, probably from poisoned food, and several agency employees had mild symptoms of poisoning.
In 2024, Budanov was recognized as a Hero of Ukraine by President Zelenskyy.

Why do you call him a “terrorist”?
In WW2, the Germans were able repair rail lines quickly.

Russia is not Germany. And this is not WWII. The Russians are still fixing the Kersh bridge, knocked out 2 years ago, not to mention a host of other unrepaired bridges in Crimea and elsewhere along the front.
“UKR drones are in love with Russian cargo trucks.”
How do the drones distinguish civilian supermarket resupply trucks from Russian Federation army resupply trucks?
I would assume it is done by only attacking trucks where no civilian truck really needs to be.
I see the problem....😂😂😂
If you support open borders with Mexico you are on the wrong forum, fireman.
Muscowy should leave Ukrainian land including Crimea as you point out
Yup, I’ve been on FR since 2001, firststateside, then in the UK, then back stateside, then briefly in other places before moving to Poland in 2010.
While you live in St. Petersburg, Russian federation m right?

Russian armed forces are dependent on rail links to supply them with heavy logistics, including ammunition, and to move troops around the country. Damage caused to rail lines can be quickly repaired, however, damage to rail bridges can disrupt supplies for weeks.[13]
The Kerch Strait road and rail bridge, constructed by Russia after their annexation of Crimea in 2014, is 19 km long and spans the Kerch Strait, between Russia and Crimea.
On 8 October 2022, an explosion collapsed a section on one side of the road into the sea and damaged the other road section. A train was passing the impact point and the explosion caused a fire on the train, the heat from the fire damaging the rail bridge.[14][15] Russia had to look to land routes for rail routes and ferries for road supplies heading to Crimea, with civilian as well as military supplies, until the bridge was partly reopened to road traffic, with the bridge fully repaired within 4 months.[16] The main aim of the attack was to disrupt Russian logistics.[17]
On 17 July 2023, a second attack took place, this time by sea drones, with two explosions that damaged the road bridge.[18] The aim of the attack was to damage the logistical capabilities of the bridge. It was reported that repair work was completed in mid October 2023.[19]
Russian concern at losing the rail connection to Crimea over the Kerch bridge has resulted in a new 370km railway line being built from Rostov-on-Don across southern Ukraine to Yakymivka near Melitopol,[20] in January 2024 a part completed railway bridge near Hranitne NE of Mariupol, on the route of the new track, was destroyed by Ukrainian missiles.[21] Concern also caused Russia to ship munitions by sea, the Russian landing ship Novocherkassk was loaded with munitions when it was hit by a missile at the Crimea port of Feodosia on 26 December 2023, the secondary explosion of the munitions destroying the ship.

Plenty of video out there showing how both Ukies and Russian RR repair crews have rail lines up and running in less than a day.
As the majority of the Ukie locomotives depend on electricity, which Vlad has reduced by 80 percent, their rail system has deteriorated immensely.

“ Some 60% of Ukraine’s power generation has been knocked out, as Russian precision bombs, drone strikes, and rocket attacks increasingly home in on power plants and energy infrastructure. The country is now suffering the worst rolling blackouts since Russia launched its full-scale invasion in February 2022...
…Ukraine’s ability to regenerate and rebuild has now been overwhelmed, at least for the immediate future. Over 9 gigawatts of power generation alone has been taken out just since March. More hydroelectric plants have been destroyed, including the Dnipro station, the largest that was still working. Solar power facilities, too. …
…Every single one of the thermal—coal and natural gas burning—plants has been hit, and of the original 13 no more than two are still operational. DTEK, Ukraine’s largest private power company, has lost 90% of its generation capacity. The current national power deficit is approximately 35…..
… While these possible solutions are gradually taking shape, Ukraine exists in a partial darkness and state of dysfunction that is gradually undermining its stamina. People’s ability to work, to bank, to get medical treatment, to use their phones or internet, and so on, has been hammered by the lack of power. Schools cannot operate normally. Nor can businesses. This in turn means less money for individuals, and also less tax revenues with which to pay for the government and the war effort. And many may finally make the difficult decision to leave their country because life, already no walk in the park, has become even more difficult.…”
….And the war cheerleaders still try to convince everyone the Ukies are winning.
Currently Ukraine occupies 500 square kilometers of Russia.
Russia occupies 161,000 square kilometers of Ukraine.
Revenues up 50% y/y despite everything the deceitful West can do...got it.
? Okay
That and mainly targeting olive green KamAZ's with a cloth cover.
If you think you're cool driving around in an olive green M35 or equivalent, you should probably rethink that.
Meanwhile, Ukraine continues to lose territory it will never bet back on the actual battlefield:
