A state of emergency has been declared in the Russian border region of Kursk as troops continue to battle against an alleged Ukrainian incursion. President Putin has accused Ukraine of a "large-scale provocation."
Russia said on Wednesday that it was continuing to battle Ukrainian troops that crossed into the border region of Kursk a day earlier, with a state of emergency declared by the regional governor and security tightened around a nearby nuclear power plant.
"To eliminate the consequences of enemy forces coming into the region, I took the decision to introduce a state of emergency in the Kursk region from 7 August," said Kursk's acting Governor Alexei Smirnov on Wednesday evening.

Kursk is a long way from the border. How do they get back? If they get captured, they might have to spend the next 12 years in Siberia like the Germans in 1943. I am sure George W, Hillary, Obama, and Joe will send Christmas cards as long as they are alive.

The battle of Kursk in WWII was a Soviet victory over the Nazis in the biggest tank battle in history.

They didn’t make it to Kursk the City. They made it to Sudzha, a city in the Kursk Region, about 5 miles over the border in a straight shot. It is a gas pipeline hun carrying gas to the EU.
So now they are 5 miles across in one unsupportable group, with no air cover. And they imperil gas going to Europe.
They are gonna be wiped put.
