For years, before he won the Republican presidential nomination in 2016, Donald Trump was something like the spiritual leader of the Republican Party’s right-wing base. He earned his place in the hearts and minds of conservative voters by doing what most Republican politicians at the time refused to do: He attacked Barack Obama as a foreign interloper and openly questioned his right to serve as president of the United States.
Birtherism made Trump a celebrity on the right. It made him a force to reckon with in the Republican Party. It made him so popular with Republican voters that, while fighting to win the 2012 race for the Republican presidential nomination, Mitt Romney ventured out to Las Vegas to receive Trump’s blessing and support. “There are some things that you just can’t imagine happening in your life,” Romney said at the event. “This is one of them. Being in Donald Trump’s magnificent hotel and having his endorsement is a delight. I’m so honored and pleased to have his endorsement.”
It may not have looked like it at the time, but birtherism also put Trump in a position to win the Republican presidential nomination for himself just four years later. Birtherism sits at the foundation of Trump’s political career. It is the energy that fueled his ascent to the highest peak of American politics. And as he tries to scale that peak for a third time — and for the first time against a nonwhite opponent — he has returned to birtherism as he makes his case to the public.

The hospital shown on Obama’s “BIRTH CERT” is the name of a hospital created when 2 other hospitals MERGED-——5-6 YEARS AFTER BARRY WAS BORN.
The FORGERS didn’t do much research.
While I appreciate Trump’s cajones in going against the grain on so-called birther issue, I have another reason to support him.
I have followed him off and on for decades as he built his real estate empire. He tells it like it is. He has that NYC grit that is essential for making it in Manhattan.
More than that, he has helped people all along the way without asking anything in return or seeking publicity for it. And none of these people were in a position of doing anything in return for the Donald. And - he actually cares about the country! A rarity these days.
Of course his taste in women is second to none, but we’ll save that for another time.

They are trying to elevate it to the level of “racism,” the all-purpose epithet that causes everybody to run in fear.
Do we if Ivana was a “Naturalized Citizen of the US” BEFORE the children were born? If so, they are all NBC. Just curious.
In my own family, my Irish Grandfather “Naturalized” after the 1922 Irish Republic’s freedom. He and Kate’s first six of nine children would not have been NBC. Interesting.
The “Original Birther” was Hillary Roadkill Clinton. She and lawyer, Phil Berg, filed the first lawsuit.

President Donald Trump’s first wife, Ivana, became a U.S. citizen in 1988 — years after the last of the couple’s three children, Eric, was born in 1984.
The LFBC was cobbled together from parts of several different documents. And then, in a supreme fit of stupidity, they forgot to collapse the layers!

“Barron Trump was born in March 2006 and Melania wasn’t a legal citizen until July 2006.”
One thing is pretty clear: this country badly needs clear, concise, no-argument definitions of citizenship qualifications for office. And clear, deterrent-level penalties for conspiring to defraud the people with forged documents. Also, it has to be a whole hell of a lot harder for judges to nullify law by maintaining that no one has standing to bring suit. That one is way, WAY abused, and our rights are trampled as a result.
Obama’s “birth certificate” never was verified by a forgery expert.
Now it’s under orders to be destroyed before anyone can examine it in Hawaii.
