Part of the problem with pensions and unions is that your future is held hostage at the whims of other people.
A 401k is yours. They put in their part and that is the last time their hands are on it. It also means they have no future liabilities. They have no incentive to force you to quit before you are vested, no need for you to retire at a certain point or anything else.

Well, if you can’t watch a video, the solution is quite simple. Don’t watch it. I listen to them while I work on calligraphy, my trade, but it’s a free country, so I hear. I won’t put a pistol to your head and force you to watch.
