Multiple videos posted to social media seem to show angry residents trying to keep the public from parts of the beach that they're legally allowed to visit.

Flame away.
They want to keep the beaches clear for the illegals floating in
Decades ago I lived in Newport Beach for a few years.
I remember going to a party in Laguna Beach.
I asked one young man about my age (twenty something) what he did for a living.
His answer.....
“Philanthropy”
Welcome to Laguna Beach!
This sounds like a job for some M-80s.
What he meant was he was a taker
“Taker” Is that like a “Receiver”? I’m so confused! (... not really)
I believe the proper terminology is “pitcher” and “catcher.”
The beach front property owners should be jailed when they block off public beaches. I have zero sympathy for them, too many property owners, even here in Nevada, are blocking public land access.
These aimable mortars are readily available and effective to extreme. They come in "Crowd Disbursing Large" size as well.
Beach cities suck in summer...Like flies on crap, they attracted criminals, low life, homeless, epic traffic, wall to wall people etc...
I asked more questions.
He was a trust fund beneficiary—filthy rich.
Yes, as in receiver of philanthropic largess
People, or should I say sheeple, are so narrow-minded that they probably didn’t even know about Laguna Beach until it was mentioned on Tik Tok by an influencer. They used to just mindlessly crowd into Santa Monica, now the zombie hordes are heading to Laguna.
Iām too lazy to watch the video. But I think the rule is that the beach up to the high tide mark is public property, and so can be visited by the public.
But of course the multi-millionaires would prefer that all peasants be kept out of sight, and far away. Hence the conflict.
You’re right, of course. I learned that from listening to Phil Hendrie on KFI ... good stuff!
Just what we want in our back yard. A bunch of drugged up xrazies pitching tents on the sand and bbq goats because down the road on the endless number of CA public beaches they could go to you can’t squat and drop a load.. And only moving a little at high tide.
I had a real adventure in Laguna Beach in 1969, it is also the first time I saw a Taco Bell which to a Texan was totally puzzling, especially after tasting what was supposed to be Tex-Mex/Mexican food.
Back in the day, Babs Streisand sued when someone took a pic of her compound on Malibu, but she lost the lawsuit. Spectacularly.

They also attract pretty tourist girls from inland states looking for a quickie with a local California beach boy.
I would go there and video record and when being ejected, take those people to Small Claims court for about 1500.00. Then repeat. OR 500,000 in superior court.
