You're assuming the OP isn't informed of these things.
...and sometimes there are threads about odd subjects where weird posters get so intense that you have to wonder about the reality behind that too.
God told us we would devolve into a mass sewer before Jesus returns..we all gotta go through it whether we like it or not.
But He also said that in the last days, He would pour out His Spirit upon all flesh...
Glad to hear the good news that you are working on getting closer to the Lord. We all need to do that in these times. Just pitch in with a comment when hou can.
I like the title. Now I’m humming...
Which means no reparations.
Fighting this fight will get you closer to God real quick. Whining around not so much.
I well remember you!
You used to write stories of your real life experiences as an ER nurse. Dealing with the weird, wild and wacky people that came in the Emergency Room.
You should resurrect them and post them again. They were amusing, amazing and provided all here with ER details that we never knew.
I’m still on your ping list!
I guessed correctly that this keyword would work.

Are you still working? Retired? Again, I say, I enjoyed your writing.
Still working, but now I am in administration. Still fighting the good fight, Just less messy. Good to see ya again.
“But He also said that in the last days, He would pour out His Spirit upon all flesh...”
And?
It’s obvious that isn’t happening yet - things are getting worse and will continue that way until His tipping point is reached - we may not like it but we need to learn to cope with it to the best of our abilities. Praying helps - He doesn’t make things better when we pray, but He does give us the courage and strength to cope in the knowledge that, in the end, He wins.
“Living in the world that’s a complete mess doesn’t mean associating with, and living of the world.
I withdrew from this world long ago. Better off for it. Prayer life works.”
You haven’t withdrawn - you learned to cope - else you wouldn’t be interacting here.
Prayer helps - not by changing the sewer we are devolving into, but by acknowledging His goodness and that, no matter what He allows to occur, in the end, He wins and those who believe in Him will also profit.
The whole church says in unison, "AMEN!"
We are living the consequences of the sins in this country. That's the bottom line.
God allows us to suffer the consequences of that sin. Who's fault is that, Gods or ours? (We know the answer, it was a rhetorical question.)
Bottom line: God loves us all. We are His children. He wants us all in Heaven with Him. For that to occur, He sent His son Jesus Christ, the perfect sacrifice, the Lamb of God, to pay for our sins. It's a gift. We have to CHOOSE to accept that gift. That's part of free will. Those who choose to accept it, REPENT of their sins, turn away from them, and seek to live a more perfect life. Can we ever be perfect? NO. That doesn't'mean we don't try, and when we inevitably fail, humbly ask for our Fathers correction and forgiveness, and try again. We ALL stumble. (Here, I insert my acknowledgement of being a sinner myself, likely the biggest one that will read these words. And yet, I keep trying, drawing strength and courage through Gods Holy word.)
Those who refuse to accept Christ's perfect sacrifice for us, deny God. They live in open rebellion to Him. That's their free will, which God gave us all.
Those who REFUSE to accept Christ's perfect sacrifice and repent, reject our Almighty God. They will suffer the consequences in the next life. God's judgement will be swift and permanent, and they will scream from hell to be in God's presence for eternity.
For those who believe Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God, our Almighty Father in Heaven, our reward isn't here. Our reward is in heaven. We are secure in that knowledge because Jesus himself told us so. After He defeated death for us, taking the punishment we all deserve, He went ahead of us to prepare us room in Gods Kingdom of Heaven.
This is the reward for those of us who believe: To live in the presence of Almighty God our Father. That is enough for me.
Better a one room shack in the Kingdom of Heaven, in the presence of God our Loving Father, than a mansion on the shore of the lake of fire without Him for eternity.
Thank you for your post and allowing me to reply. I know you're a believer, some who read these words may not be. My prayer is that those who do not believe may stop and thoughtfully consider them, from a fellow sinner.
Thank you for your thoughtful reply - AMEN
