That means Shapiro’s announcement will be timed when PA sends out ballots. We can wipe PA off the Trump train. Trump’s only chances again are MI and WI, both with unfavorable fundamentals to him compared to PA. VA/NM/NH are out of reach I think at this stage. Again, this is not about November, like a lot here are thinking. This is about September 7 or so. The election will be decided then.
The mailing date probably should be around three to four weeks before election day.
I typically vote in person about a week before election day.
If mailed out too far ahead a ballot mailing may be put in a stack of mailings in the recipient’s house and forgotten about until too late. If mailed too close to the election the ballot might not get returned in time.
They mail out the ballots on Monday, September 16, 2024.
For Pennsylvania.
“mailing date”
Mailings might be spread over six days so somebody in a 500-unit apartment building doesn’t get access to hundreds of ballots in one day.
If you’re able bodied show up to vote.
Speaking of voting, ain’t this intetesting, from last week....

“....We can wipe PA off the Trump train. Trump’s only chances again are MI and WI, both with unfavorable fundamentals to him compared to PA. VA/NM/NH are out of reach I think at this stage. “
True statements. But nothing is impossible (except maybe Trump winning New Mexico, among the states you mentioned), just not particularly likely.
If the Rust Belt is gone, then Trump must sweep Arizona, Georgia and (oh boy) Nevada, and then find some other state otherwise he maxes out at 268 electoral votes — or a 269-269 tie if he can take back that one little EV in Nebraska which he lacked last time.
Obviously the Democrats know all of this too. If they see it shaking out exactly this way, watch how many millions of dollars worth of Democrat ads run in Omaha, Nebraska and tiny little New Hampshire. Hopefully Trump and the RNC won’t be just sitting around with their thumbs up their asses when that happens. And there’s nothing saying they must give up on MI, WI, PA regardless of how small their chances are.
But, for Republicans at least, there’s only so much money to go around. WinRed are a bunch of pikers compared to the highly efficient (and not altogether legal) Democrat money laundry called ActBlue, which is only now finally beginning to get some scrutiny.
Florida is the worst—60 days. Where is DeSantis on this?
Clearly since Florida has the cleanest voting, it’s not an issue. That’s what happens when you fire election officials in blue areas. The days before are not the problem. The process is.
Hi.
A clarification from FL.
We allow absentee balloting if you request the ballot with ID and signatures.
No “mail in” ballots sent by the Post office.
See the difference?
5.56mm
No chance with MI as Whitmer and her gang just made a new bill regarding recounts in Michigan. You can only request a recount if a mistake was made, then that recount request of said presumed mistake has to go to the county prosecutor of that county. Most fraud ummm mistakes occur in Wayne, Detroit and other Dem strongholds. Also the recount can only be done if it would change the winner.
Its going to be deja vu all over again. Trumps knows it.
Gee!
Clearly, no chance of the slightest bit of fraud.../s
The only blue-area one who was fired was in Miami-Dade County. Florida has 55 counties. If they could get away with it, Hillsborough would offer everyone ballots pre-filled out just click on the "x", all in the name of the god of "convenience". So why do we need 60 days again? No other state provides that length of time.
When I was growing up. voters had ONE DAY to elect the President. It worked with no ballot fraud.
I don’t know why it changed from your days of voting for Abraham Lincoln. Can’t explain it. But these are the new rules.
It was the 1950’s and the 1960’s. Think Eisenhower and Kennedy. But you as a typical ignorant smartass leftwing snot have to get sarcastic and rude. ESAD.
It was my parents who were voting. I said it was while I was growing up. I used to accompany them as a child when they went to vote at their polling place. I learned a lot about the process. What civic lessons did your parents share with you, you moron?
