Yes, if Hitler and his girlfriend were in the country illegally with expired student visas when Adolph Jr. was born... our deep state brethren would definitely argue that Adolph Jr. was eligible to be president. Of course, the civics textbooks still being used when I was in school had a different interpretation of what the term “natural born citizen” meant to the founders when it came to presidential eligibility. But who cares what the original meaning of the Constitution once was. It was written at a time when people were not as enlightened as they are now. Ask Amy Democrat.

My opinion is, if you are born on the soil of any of the 50 states, you are a natural born citizen. Your parents’ status does not matter.

But the view of most here seem to be there’s three categories - natural born citizen, naturalized citizen, and some... third category of people who are citizens at birth but somehow not natural born citizens.
Senate Resolution 511 - Her parents had to have been citizens at the time of her birth. That is the difference and why our founding fathers specifically said the president must be a Natural born citizen rather than just a regular citizen born here. Remember, George Washington’s library book that wasn’t returned - Law of Nations which gives the definition. Oh! The definition which had all the controversy? They already had the definition from Emer de Vattel, the author. Several other founding fathers spoke of this definition like Jefferson, Franklin, etc.
Remember too, the Senate committee to vet McCain as a NBC. The original discussion was Sen. Leahy’s website for years telling of the actual decision and why McCain had to have US citizen parents (plural) and him being born on US soil. Cough, he wasn’t born on US soil... sure, his military father was stationed in Panama but there was no maternity ward on base, aka US soil, so he was born in the hospital in Panama City but we know Congress lies and ignores little inconveniences so that’s another bucket of worms.
Back to the vetting Committee, which was comprised of Senators Leahy, McCaskill (D who was wanting NBC struck from the requirements for years and was backing Obama), Coburn, Webb and...... Hillary Clinton and Obama. Hmmm, interesting Obama was NEVER VETTED!!! Now, hmm, why was that??? They called in Chertoff from Homeland Security and he along with each of the Senators all agreed the definition was, as always was since the founding of the nation and forever before from the European definition that 1) the father and mother had to be legal US citizens before the person was born and 2) the person must be born on US soil. That way the person would be less likely to be loyal to a foreign country. If the parents weren’t US citizens then the person could have strong ties to the parents’ homeland so that’s a conflict. However, by the time the Senate Resolution 511 was rewritten in the Senate and then sent to the House, well, as with every Bill it got corrupted and pork-ed up. Catskill, Obama and Hillary conveniently left out the entire US citizen parents (plural - mother AND father) part. Gee whiz, can’t imagine why Obama wasn’t vetted. You remember Obama, Sr. was born in Africa and was never a US citizen. In fact, in “Remembrances”, Sr.’s college friends wrote they never had a clue about Stanley Ann Dunham or little Barry. We still don’t know where Obama was born but lets put those other cans of worms next to the previous cans. All this corruption/funny business/lies is why Leahy (D) kept the original words on his website until he died last year. His website never had another Resolution discussed. Even though he was a D, he wanted it be known they lied to get Obama in.
VP Harris wasn’t held to the original requirements just like Obama wasn’t. A corrupt Congress who changed the US Constitution. Uh huh, that’s why Obama thought we didn’t need the old dusty out of date Constitution.
Sticking with all the ineligibility of Harris so not going into the boat load of Barry’s mess.

Biden or the demwits may not want to dredge up Barry Soetoro up this soon causing him (cough, Jill) to write he was only stepping down from the race. We’ll have to wait until the DNC to see who they nominate but even then they know, without cheating, she won’t stand a chance of getting the votes. Doubt they want the next election/selection because 4 years isn’t enough time to bring back America. They may let Trump have it so they can continue to berate him and in 4 years holler he didn’t clean up their mess while taking credit for what he was able to accomplish.

It mattered to the writers of the US Constitution. That’s why the distinction was made with the “Natural” from all other types of citizenship. If the president’s mother and father still had a strong hold with their foreign homeland just how loyal to the US might the President be? Loyalty is the bottom line.
So, you’d be fine if Xi’s girlfriend came here and popped out little Xi, Jr., you’d be ok with him being POTUS in a few years?

This clown touts himself as a Constitutional Scholar yet knew damn well he wasn’t eligible for POTUS. He was even less eligible than Obama, believe it or not. At least Obama’s Mom was a natural born citizen.
So your opinion is that Hitler's son, Putin's daughter, Ali Khamenei’s son, or the vile progeny of any of our country's enemies should be allowed to be our President as long as they were born on any soil controlled by the USA. Are you a racist who is discriminating against Puerto Rico and Guam? Do you believe that is what our founder's intended when the constitution was written, or does that matter to you?
