Need help locating a program on the JFK assassination from a few years back.
Presented as a documentary, I think it opened with a meeting of oilmen, intelligence community and politicians allegedly connected with the assignation, and allegedly that all wanted their shooters involved.
The plot included oilmen, CIA, mafia and multiple shooters on the route.
Program focused on the presence of G. H. W. Bush being in Dallas. Also detailed reasoning of what CIA wanted.
Gave detailed account of primary shooter being in water drain culvert along the route.
Have been searching Google and YouTube for several days. Could it have been scrubbed?
Fictionalized plot for Executive Action with Burt Lancaster and Will Geer (1973). I think it’s really close to the way it may have happened. No one really knows.
And please, the important film for me JFK by Oliver Stone as cited now has a sequel dvd set of 6 hours (true) of supplementary interviews, films to analyze and deleted scenes. Came out in 2021 along with the hardcover book JFK Revisited.
JFK Revisited: Through the Looking Glass (dvd and Netflix and others)
2021 (1h 58 min version) only.
True. LBJ and staff were considered low class hicks who were beneath the high social status of the Ivy League millionaires with whom JFK and RFK mingled. LBJ hated that.
The minute JFK died LBJ ordered the famous rocking chair and all the rest bundled into the back hall for storage so he could spread out with his stuff. I saw the traveling exhibit in 1964 of the JFK memorabilia went it came to the Detroit Institute of Arts.
Apparently never proven: The day before the killing, LBJ said, smiling “This time tomorrow all my troubles are going to be over.”
Another: LBJ suddenly hit the floor of the following car to avoid gunfire but there was no gunfire. A minute or so later, the car went around the curve and this time there were gunshots and he had reason to duck. He also was visibly upset his long time friend John Connolly chose to change to sit in the President’s car, near JFK. “No, John, don’t do it. You can’t. Stay out of that car.” He couldn’t convince Connolly who got injured by gunfire.
Thanks. Good movie. The documentary had no professional actors, IIRC.
Thanks, but no.
Scroll down to Subsequent history. On right hand side of the page you will see a 30 second video (The full Zapruder Film)
Thanks. Not the one I had in mind.
I agree that “Executive Action” was probably very close.
Thanks for the other video info.
I am very concerned about DJT’s safety. I’m not alone.
Everything is a Rich Man’s Trick
“Executive Action with Burt Lancaster and Will Geer (1973). I think it’s really close to the way it may have happened.”
Agreed.
That movie has stood up very well over time.
When I first saw it I thought the rich Texas oilmen part was far fetched but folks like Dark Journalist Daniel Liszt have made a strong case they were involved.
He has his own view of history that is a bit off the beaten track but has some interesting insights and finds unusual connections not in any history books.
That route was available in November 1963? Wow, that’s amazing! Find a map from 1963. It doesn’t matter- though can’t stand GHWBush and his destroying everything Reagan did= he was NOT in Dallas on that day. He was making a speech at a Kiwanis Club in Tyler. A much younger man. They were in the oil business (no kidding).
Just watch. Its presented in a documentary style and has that exact scene of oilmen, Intel and others meeting to discuss that plan. I bet that’s it.
Thanks, will watch it this morning
google, amazon, fandano and others 2.99-3.99
Even if that’s not it, I think it really hits close to the target of how it probably went. And it was 10 years after the assassination.
Especially the concept of the deciders having one crucial communication point between the team and the deciders.
Then they kill him. So the shooters would never know who hired them.
Very plausible.
