Amazon Prime Video said any similarities to real-world events were purely coincidental.
Amazon Prime Video has added a disclaimer to "The Boys" season finale condemning political violence following the assassination attempt against former President Trump.
"The season finale of 'The Boys' contains scenes of fictional political violence, which some viewers may find disturbing, especially in light of the injuries and tragic loss of life sustained during the assassination attempt on former President Trump," the disclaimer begins.
Prime Video noted that the newest season of the violent, superhero satire was filmed in 2023 and any similarities to real-world events are "coincidental and unintentional."

That might be the case if people who watch the show didn't already know that Homelander is a psychopathic murderer who needs to be destroyed if they can only find a way.
I remember that record and when Vaughn Meader said he would no longer do the spoofs.
I believe Vaughn Meader was also behind the “CAROLINE, CLOTHE YOUR HORSE!” scheme. tens of thousands signed the petition to clothe the horse.
I find Eric Kripke using atrocity in a realistic setting a welcome change from the same 14 plots endlessly recycled by most other programs. It’s not MEANT to be for everyone and I think those who tune in know something jarring is part of it’s make-up.
Using a baby who has X-Man Cyclop’s power beam vision as an aimed weapon? An Aqua-Man style character having a physical affair with an octopus? Homelander, based on Superman, casually pushing his son off a two story roof expecting the kid to fly like he does (he doesn’t).
While waiting for Season 4 to be wrapped into one package (I won’t watch any series piecemeal) it sounds like it’s reached it’s ‘jump the shark’ point of suicide via Political Correctness. What a shame.
I haven’t watched episode six yet. We had a tornado come through here on Tuesday, and our power was off for 24 hours. Our internet didn’t come back until Friday morning. I’m still catching up with all the programs I missed earlier in the week. Enjoy season four when you get around to watching it.
For yrs I tended to believe Oswald acted alone. That the only theories that may have held water were those surrounding LBJ. IIRC He and JFK actually despised each other. JFK needed LBJ to get the Dixiecrat vote. LBJ who was obsessed with eventually becoming Pres needed the more liberal northern Dem votes. It was more of an alliance of convenience.
