That’s why you start from the beginning. The voice!
My first grandson was/is that way. He is very busy, but the girls have always come first. They matured well under both parents.
I’m so proud of him/them.
My parents beat their kids. We do not miss them.
I was paddled in class, over the teachers lap in 1st grade for eating my best friends cookie. More embarrassing than hurting.
Some spanking is necessary. My grandmother and father went way overboard. When I was 13 and was becoming an an athlete I swore the next time my father beat me I wouldn’t make a peep. When it happened, with monster welts on my legs, I looked him in the eye and asked “Is that all you got?” He never touched me again. Crazy enough, we got along great after that. I think he was truly sorry.
I always thought standing in corner effective
Is Ya Hui related to Huac Tua?
Our oldest was so well behaved that he rarely needed any punishment.
The youngest, however, was very adventurous and stronger-willed than I was.
I never spanked him, because I was half afraid that if I did, I might not be able to stop.
I have been reading about Corporal Punishment for decades.
When will he finally be promoted to Sergeant?
I remember seeing ads from the 50’s where husbands spanked their wives. I wonder if the wives behaved better.
Regarding a child, the Bible is very clear, and Dr. Benjamin Spock's theory schown to be futile for instaling disciple into a child's life.
Proverbs 10:13 (AV):It is because of ignoring ages-old well-defined and proven wisdom that we have successive generations of fools applying Spock's doctrine of eliminating corporal chastening of children, denominations preaching this non-Biblical doctrines from the pulpit, undisciplined college professors teaching it from lecterns to rebellious-minded students, and thus a progressive incorrigible "wokeness" controlling our culture and its supportive media.
In the lips of him that hath understanding wisdom is found: but a rod is for the back of him that is void of understanding.
Proverbs 13:24
He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.
Proverbs 23:13,14 (AV)
Withhold not correction from the child: for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die.
Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and shalt deliver his soul from hell.
Proverbs 29:15 (AV):
The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame.

When I was a kid attending St. Bernard’s Catholic School, the Nuns would proverbially “preach Heaven to you and beat the hell out of you”. A long time ago.
I was beat with a switch off the tree by my dad when I was 14, but I deserved it. My brother and I took my mom’s car out at 2 am when our parents were asleep. The cops arrested us at 4 am for grand theft auto, out after curfew, joyriding in a residential area, and driving without a license. I was a straight A student and it’s the only time I ever got in trouble with the law, but at least I got to walk on the wild side once, lol.
All 4 of us kids got spanked-—
OR THE DREADED “SNAP BEHIND THE EAR” from the farm manager.
We got punished for NOT doing chores or for doing them wrong.
ALL 4 of us spent our adult days as SELF-EMPLOYED people.
One had over 60 EMPLOYEES-—with only a HS education.
Another had about 8-10 employees with only one semester of college.
Another had 1 employee-—but not 100% of the time. ONLY HS education.
I worked alone doing bookkeeping -—HS Plus night school in accounting classes.
I AM POSITIVE SPANKING DID NOT HARM US.
I know I was. 😆

There was a lot less divorce back then . . .
Today’s unspanked children are running wild or drugged rather than disciplined. When other means don’t work, spanking will. Its unpleasant, but it’s for their own good.
Bingo. The death stare works well, too. (lol)
