At some point, these “reasonable concerns” will find a political outlet (we might alreadybe there). At that point, name-calling isn’t going to matter much. Trump picked up ideas that were just sitting there. Leftists need to consider what would have happened if Trump had been killed. Did January 6 really scare them? Really? They should think about that, to the extent that they are capable.

Had it succeeded, the unrest and polarization we already endure in America would have gotten significantly worse.

I have seen other commentators start to say it, then back down to say something slightly more reasonable and polite. It would NOT be significantly worse, it would be CWII, but not as pleasant. There are people out there right now waiting for the shoe to drop, who already have their targets in their minds, and there would be blood. Just a handful, but enough.

Because once they acted, there would be a host of others who were waiting for the "leaders" to act, and decide they can now play also.
