The Oklahoma City Fire Department (OKCFD) rescued a man trapped in a manhole Thursday morning.
According to OKCFD, an individual fell through a manhole cover near West Britton Road.
Responders used a short-haul system to enter the manhole and recover the victim.
The man was transported to a local hospital.
It is currently unknown how long the individual was trapped.

The man then threw the manhole cover back on and started jumping up and down on it, yelling, “24,24,24 ...” :)
Manhole covers weigh a ton. They’re not easy to open up for the average person and the ‘’lip’’ on which the covers sits is barely half an inch wide.
I worked in the construction industry years ago and dealt with these things and those GD rectangular sewer grates.
One wrong move with a pry bar and you can end up with a broken arm.
