A Daily Pill to Prevent S.T.I.s? It May Work, Scientists Say.
The New York Times ^ | July 18, 2024 | Apoorva Mandavilli

A daily dose of a widely used antibiotic can prevent some infections with syphilis, gonorrhea and chlamydia, potentially a new solution to the escalating crisis of sexually transmitted infections, scientists reported on Thursday.

Their study was small and must be confirmed by more research. Scientists still have to resolve significant questions, including whether S.T.I.s might become resistant to the antibiotic and what effect it could have on healthy gut bacteria in people taking it every day.

The approach would be recommended primarily to people at elevated risk of sexually transmitted infections during certain periods, said Dr. Jeffrey Klausner, an infectious diseases physician at the University of Southern California who was not involved in the new work.

Try to guess those groups with "elevated risks."

As my mom used to say: “you only need one aspirin to prevent STI’s and pregnancy. You hold it between your knees.”

They have learned nothing from the over use of antibiotics.

Or maybe it is their goal to make antibiotics ineffective.

BLM protests don’t spread COVID.

Daily antibiotic usage by microbe-swapping gay orgiasts causes no concern for antibiotic resistance.

Science has spoken.

I have a lot of questions.

Are these antibiotics, which are only intended for short-term mitigation of some bacterial infections, supposed to become some type of daily dietary supplement? After all, it's for episodes of "risky sex," so-called "unprotected" sex encounters. What if someone leads a lifestyle of CONSTANT risky sex, as the queer population is largely known for doing?

These antibiotics are NOT completely benign agents on the body. Besides physical discomfort symptoms, they can wreak havoc long term. And then there is the real risk of pathogen resistance to the drugs.

Will unsupervised self-administration of the drug be a disaster, creating the unwarranted sense of security against diseases that the drug is NOT intended to prevent, like AIDS?

If it was discovered ivermectin prevented STDs it would become the exalted savior of the deviant left, instantly being transformed from horse paste taken by stupid MAGA rubes, to the miracle sent from heaven above.

That really does mean prior to gay orgies, prior to two weeks vacation on Fire Island or Provincetown.

Pathogen resistance is a real problem when given to excess. I worked on a research farm and they dealt with this exact problem.

Maybe a condom is a simpler answer if one can’t control urges.

I remember once taking antibiotics as a preventative measure, and that was right before my prostate biopsy.

Taking antibiotics for something as optional as sex is just insanity.

Exactly. But the libs are perfectly willing to turbocharge the breeding of antibiotic resistant microbes to buy a little more orgy time for the highly promiscuous set to do their thing. The sexual revolutionaries now seek to mainstream the sex cultists. This is addictive behavior and is a deep mental and spiritual illness.

Swell. The once-daily pill cited is doxycycline. The CDC, NIH, and AIDs clinics in San Francisco were already reporting seeing cases of doxycycline-resistant gonorrhea, chlamydia, staph, and strep a year ago. So let’s start handing out doxycycline like Skittles to the “at risk” population and *really* accelerate the evolution of sexually transmitted bacteria!

A huge part of the reason we have so many of the drug resistant diseases is that irresponsible docs were giving constant massive doses of antibiotics to highly immune compromised mid and late stage AIDS patients to try to control opportunistic infections.

These guys were walking petri dishes for stains of drug resistant pathogens.

Especially STDs.

We had docs actively prescribing antibiotics to people with active AIDS to prevent them from catching STDS. Think about that one for a moment

The doctors knew the damage they were doing and they just didn't care.

So you take these pills - made by big Pharma - so you can have sex with anyone and everyone - go to the rat supporting abortion mill to kill the result of your behavior - and kill the good bacteria in your gut and get other sickness from that so you’re begging for “free” health care.
