Seems young for a “fitness guru”

All that exercising and dieting for death at 76? ok.

He had been living a very private life for some time. He was a very kind and gentle man. Rest in peace, Richard.

He was pretty much a recluse, barely ever saw the guy outside his home, probably a massive heart attack

All that exercising and dieting for death at 76? ok.Meanwhile, your neighbor who drinks a bottle of whiskey, eats bacon and smokes a pack of cigarette daily lives to be 90.

At 72 I look back and wonder if I should’ve done life differently. Watching life around me I’ve decided when GOD says you gotta go. You gotta go. RIP Richard.

So the sex guru outlived the fitness guru by 20 years.
Is that telling us something?

His Deal-a-Meal diet plan was actually a pretty clever diet forcing a perfectly balanced traditional low-cal meal plan but it took lots of effort to organize your foods. One had use up all the available food cards. I can remember trying to spread a teaspoon of peanut butter on a celery stalk and double checking to see if it said teaspoon. The weight falls off if you can stick to it.

Say what you want about the guy but I think he honestly cared about helping people lose weight. Maybe he was sick for a long time, it would explain why he hasn’t been seen in awhile .

My grandfather died at 90. World War 1 Veteran. He smoked cigars all day and ended his day with 3 fingers of bourbon. He owned and ran a cattle ranch for 50 years. Liked to eat pig’s knuckles and drink cold pot liquor. Tough old bird.

So what? 76 is the male life expectancy for men in the US. He made it.

He was a gentle diversion for a lot of people. Sad to see him ago. Shelley Duvall passed
a couple days before Richard, both age 76. She was another lost persona. RIP.

I had an exercise record of his in the late 70s.
I loved his child-like energy.
