What Are Lamb Fries?
Lamb fries, also known as lamb testicles or lamb testes, are a type of offal or organ meat that comes from male lambs. They are considered a delicacy in various cuisines around the world, including Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, and American cuisine. Lamb fries are often breaded and fried, grilled, or sautéed, and they are known for their tender texture and rich, slightly gamey flavor.
Lamb fries are often served as an appetizer or main course in upscale restaurants, and they are also popular at butcher shops and specialty markets. They are typically prepared and cooked with a variety of herbs and spices to enhance their natural flavor and to complement the overall dish. Despite their unconventional nature, lamb fries enjoy a dedicated following among adventurous eaters and culinary enthusiasts who value nose-to-tail eating and the exploration of unique and traditional foods.

Have fun it is a holiday weekend.
A Frenchman was visiting Texas. While he was in a restaurant he saw ‘calf fries’ on the menu. He was asked the waiter what they were, and the waiter gave a detailed description.
Then he noticed that ‘french fries’ were also on the menu.
The Frenchman fainted.

TRANSPHOBE!!!!!!
But seriously, “calf fries” are great, and “lamb fries” are even better!
When I was working in DC, “mountain oysters” were available at the Eastern Market on Pennsylvania Ave. SE., but these were made from beef.
That’s what I always thought ‘mountain oysters’ were; beef.
I worked in a packing plant known for butchering bulls for hamburger and they’d pack the bull fries in 25 lb boxes. We had a huge walk in freezer full of several thousand pounds that some Polish outfit in Chicago bought for their beer festival. They were thrilled that they were able to purchase so many. Never had them ain’t about to start.
Bull testicles
Losers of bets had to eat one in the Texas bar I hung out at. I didn’t make any bets.
Baaaaaaa
Breaded and fried calf fries aren’t half bad
I’ll take your word for it.
Well, on our tenth wedding anniversary, my wife and I went to Greektown *The Parthenon, 314 Halsted) and ordered (ahead of time) a lamb’s head. The brains weren’t bad. I ate the eyeballs, my wife couldn’t take it that far.
Well, as someone else said, I’ll pass.
There are a FEW things I won’t eat...
It just goes to show human beings will eat anything. Yuk!
Why would you want to eat anything that tastes “gamey”?
I just found out today that one can make ham from leg-of-lamb. I’m going to try that.
