Here is our Amtrak dining car all meals reviewed. We have been on many of the Amtrak trains in our travels, the Sunset Limited, Empire Builder, Coast Starlight and California Zephyr. We have been in coach and in a sleeper car. We have eaten our meals in the Amtrak dining car and also in the Observation Car. We'll be sharing our Amtrak food review with you in this video. We tried every meal they offer and share what we think with you.

They could be little tiny meatballs.
Super-crappy, refined carb-laden, low-grade American food. Almost a parody of the unhealthy American cuisine.
No track kill specials?
I have no problem with Amtrak food. I have taken Amtrak cross country at least twenty times. Two and a half days when all the exercise you get is walking from your sleeper to the dining car, all you can eat, that’s traveling in style.
I took that train from Los Angeles all the way to Seattle. What a GD nightmare. The train broke down. Ran out of water, spent more time on spurs than actually moving. Had no food left. The sewage tanks overflowed. It was 2 full days for that short trip.
A pox on all the liberals who want to force train travel on everyone.
I took a train trip from Birmingham, Alabama to New Orleans. We were supposed to get to our destination at 7:00 pm. We actual got there around 10:30 pm. Same thing on the way back, we were supposed to arrive at 5:00 pm, but got back at 7:30. The passenger train stopped because freight trains got right of way first. We had to wait for them to go first.
You can probably get some equivalent in quality meals by buying Michelinas.
That happens. If you’re in a sleeper and enjoy train travel, it’s no problem.

Wow, I will be on the edge of my seat during this video!
Took Amtrak Ft. Lauderdale to Orlando and back a few times. It’s ok. The trains are a bit old and bumpy. Just don’t sit by the ends. Every time the door opens a blast of hot air hits you.
The new high-speed Brightline train is twice the price of Amtrak. But you don’t even know you’re moving. It’s amazingly smooth and the time flies!! Seriously, little kids can play in the big aisle while moving. In the Amtrak train those kids would be bouncing off the walls.
Well, good morning Sunshine.
Is Brightline an Amtrak product, or something else?
The last time we rode Amtrak the food was quite good.

When I was a little kid, my family rode train to visit grandparents. I loved that trip.
The worst trip of my life was on an Amtrack sleeper train from NYC to Palm Beach. The car was FILTHY! and the food not great. At dinner they had one small bottle of what the menu said was Char-do-nay, a fine white wine. It was not a fine white white. Walmart wine in a box would have been better - but it was the last bottle of any wine they had.
