It’s important to me as well, but I said what I said. It’s because the system is being used as a tool of destruction instead of it being used for the benefit of the American people that we are where we are on this topic.
I didn’t even know what the periodic table was when I was two. And there were probably only 50 or 60 elements in the table then.

As someone who taught chemistry and physics, I totally agree with you. And by the way, so does Albert Einstein.
Einstein was once asked what the speed of sound was. He answered with a smile. “I don’t know. I don’t burden my memory with such facts that I can easily find in any textbook.”

Sorry, folks, you can get 132 easily as long as you know the tests. I was a guinea pig for IQ tests when I was a kid and I’m no genius. Just play the game until boredom or hunger pains set in then miss a few questions and they’ll let you leave. 132 ain’t no big thang but don’t go any higher or they would make it a big thing.
BTW, with little kids, the car puzzle used to not have headlights. Don’t ever point that out. Of course, the test came out of California. WISC?

Nope, it's a big job I've never done. It started with manipulatives when they were babies in a crib, teaching them how to see simple shapes and relationships. It is simple to do, but not simple to document. It would take video, lots of it. Those were the days of VHS.

You raise an important point. Society needs physicists and mathematicians. But we need way, way more tradespeople.
So congratulations to that kid. His outlook should be commended. But it would also be nice to see an article celebrating some kid who knows how to rebuild a transmission. 🚗

Very true. I consider myself pretty good on both fronts (academic and trades), but I never made it to a point of rebuilding a transmission, nor an engine for that matter (although I did successfully rebuild a cylinder head and tons of other stuff on cars).
But your point is excellent - there almost certainly are young kids who can rebuild this equipment - it would sure be nice to also celebrate them and make them into role models for millions of ‘lesser’ Americans (as the Left views them, until they more munitions to attack The Putin, that is).
I should think he was able to memorize it because he understands it ... not withstanding his phenomenal memory. Cheers! Gotta go raise the flag ... proudly!

LOL. I’m casually working on such a math curriculum. It really is a huge job. I firmly believe that the earliest teaching should be aimed at thinking properly to make calculus sensible at an early age.
Been some years since I have spoken with you on their upbringing. How old are they now?
