An upstate New York city is outraged after a 13-year-old boy was shot and killed in a struggle with cops after allegedly flashing a pellet gun, according to police.
Nyah Mway was fatally shot by a Utica police officer around 10:20 p.m. on Friday night after police stopped him and another minor while they were walking down the street, police said.
Video circulating on social media shows three officers chasing the boy down a dark street and one tackling him to the ground. The two other cops join in the fray as bystanders yell at the officers.

Bump.
Smile.
Correction:
“400 years”
should read “400 yards”
A similar thing happened near Baltimore a few years ago. Fortunately a security camera caught the event. A knuckledragger was moving toward a cop who had his gun out. Knuckledragger has his hand behind his back and pulls out an empty hand. By the time his had was out, he had six in the chest.
Had an ex threaten me.
Told him he better NOT go to sleep-—I would beat him to death with my largest cast iron frying pan.
Last time he threatened me.
THIS OFFICER DESERVES A MEDAL FOR SPEAKING TRUTH TO FICTION.
WHERE IS THE REQUIRED ORANGE STRIPE ON THE BARREL?????
He did it Nyah Mway
It’s a shame this kid died, but it 100% on him and his parents. 100%.
So criminal can put a strip of bright orange tape on a real gun and then what?
I know that if I were a criminal I would carry a real gun and put a strip of red tape on it. Do people even think anymore?
"A replica Glock pellet gun with a detachable magazine was recovered, according to police."
Umarex Glock 17 Gen5 CO2 Pellet Pistol
I'd have shot him, too.
So a future perp pugs some orange tape or paint on a bullet firing pistol and everyone thinks its a pellet gun...and get their brains blown out
Appreciated and agreed
Now, ‘living with it’...another matter entirely.
That stated, no sane person seeks conflict. I’ve avoided situations because I have family. This officer was doing his job; it turned tragic. Horribly so, by the actions of a child. Police deserve our support until the bad apples - be they officers or administrative or city leaders - until they do not.
I cannot imagine the hell - professional & personal alike - this officer faces both the remainder of his career and his life and hope to never, ever experience either.
>> I cannot imagine the hell - professional & personal alike - this officer faces
No doubt. Similar situations occur in combat where the troops find themselves dealing with it quietly

Hope your situation is manageable and eventually mends.
I’d have LOVED to get up that seat of a quad 50 AA set. Bert Gummer in one of the “Tremors” movies. I think it was the one against the Ass-Blasters.......cool..
The title should read “after allegedly flashing a pellet up that is a replica of a G-19 Glock.”
I have 3 empty of powder 50 BMG bullets in a brass chain belt that dad had in his gun cabinet. He never owned a 50 BMG, but that is not unusual. I never knew anyone who owned a 50 cal. when I was growing up. Now, quite a few people do.
But quite a few people actually own a cannon.
I had a friend when I lived in NM (1972-1986) who was the local coroner who owned one. It was a coastal naval cannon. He would fire it with no projectile on the 4th of July. It set on his front lawn. He had to move it by truck, the weight in relationship to the carriage caused damage to asphalt.
