This is exactly what cured my years of lower back pain and spasms.
Isn’t the usual prescription for pain to sit in one place all day while complaining about how much it hurts?
Walking about 5 miles a day will typically do you a world of good. And it’s as easy as walking.
Running is a back killer... I knew a kid who ran daily when he was a teen... By the time he was in his 20s he needed back operations to fix the damage done.
Jim Fixx wrote the ‘Complete Book of Running’... What he didn’t tell you is how much damage it would do to your back, and in the end he died aged 52 from a heart attack. All the running and walking in the world can’t help you with the bad genes that you’ve inherited. His father died of a heart attack too.

Well don’t do that.
Bicycling does too without nearly as much stress on the hips and knees. Both are good for maintaining balance but I think bicycling is better.
When it’s painful to get out of Bed
Walking ain’t helping. Need something to strengthen or Stretch.
Doctor said no Chiropractor they may hurt something——and I’m CRIPPLED!?!
.
Strained Muscles Or damaged Disc still about two months to heal. Doctors ain’t writing scrips like they used to...
They Fauxi fans?
I manage about one and a half miles a day.....but I am 85.
Must try to do more.....
How can you tell me what 1/2 my pain is when you cant quantify my max pain when I am in pain in front of you?
I walked every step I could for the last 2 decades. The study wasnt a year long.
Brand new hip a week ago and the pain I have been complaining about is 90% gone.
Its helping me figure out which idiot out there is helping me and which one is blowing smoke. This is most important.
Running also produces cortisol, which is bad for the heart.
“Doctor said no Chiropractor they may hurt something——and I’m CRIPPLED!?!”
I have learned to not ever tell a doctor I go to a chiropractor. They very biased against chiropractors, for some reason.
Find a good chiropractor. They are just like doctors; some good, others not.
I personally would not go to one who constantly advertises.
I’ve found that standing still for an extended period aggravates my low back pain. Walking does not.

Most people with back pain can’t walk 10 steps without experiencing excruciating back pain — to which these “experts” will say, “That’s your problem — you need to walk 10,000 steps per day.”
Naturally their clients will say, “Just let me die.”
I have found simple core-strengthening exercises help immensely
start very slow/light and work up gradually.
Most of my back pain is caused when I walk my dog on a leash and he decides to chase a rabbit and drag me along....
Lol.
Core strength and lower back stretches work for me.
That’s the answer.
I started walking after easily throwing out my back while doing yard work (I’m 62). Walk the dog a mile and a half and then get on the treadmill for another 2.5 miles about 4/5 times a week and I haven’t thrown out my back since.
