The first is endorsed by a majority of Republicans (and Democrats) and the second is endorsed by a majority of Democrats (and many Republicans)…but make no mistake both are a source of rot.

Government subsidized education for everyone. Not just females.

Because of what they are teaching. Which among other things promotes socialism/welfarism.

When men quit raising their children and pushed the burden off on their wives.

Not going to be a popular opinion around here but it was when things started going downhill.

I don’t think males and females should be considered equal in the eyes of the law and gender discrimination should be legal. Both are equal in the eyes of God, but that doesn’t necessitate that the laws of man should not discriminate between them. In fact, the bible identifies many instances where males and females should behave differently (Ephesians 5) - mean and women are equal, but different.

Simple.

The 19th Amendment in the U.S. Constitution.

Now politicians will be forced to "pander" to female voters.

There is a long-standing tradition of females playing the predominant role in raising children in many cultures and when many men have particular occupations - I have no idea what you are referring to.

The first is just plain offensive. Sexist as could be.

The second is bad, but there’s a lot that’s worse.

Pathetic post all around.

Our founding fathers were fortunate to come up with a miracle. The U.S. Constitution. But we messed that up.

Considering that allowing blacks to vote has arguably made a greater difference, do you see anything wrong with your position at all?

This is ridiculous post and putting one of two choices as “government subsidized higher education for females” is simply to embarrass FR if any posters are stupid enough to choose it. That choice should be beneath discussion.

I think the combination of welfare designed to break families up and “raising women up” are kind of the opposites sides of the same coin. Both make men superfluous which is sooooo bad in soooo many different ways, both for individual men, for men in general, and for society.

I don’t mind women working, per se, but I object to society’s having taken this route of women should work, prices go up, women start needing to work, prices go up further, etc. Women are working at jobs men could do, wages have been stagnant relative to purchasing power ever since “Women’s Lib,” and marriage is a precarious institution.

I could go on and on, but I actually have work to do!

The lack of focus on God as the center of our lives. That’s the top source of cultural rot. Every evil stems from that.

Higher education is the source of the split in America and the source of the ideas that are causing the rot. As for food stamps (or WIC or SNAP cards or whatever it’s called now), welfare payments are the bigger problem, so I wouldn’t single out food stamps as a major problem.
