In 2016, Donald Trump told us “We are going to win so much you may even get tired of winning”. Needless to say, he was somewhat optimistic. The writer Curtis Yarvin has explained that the future is almost always more leftwing than the past. Take any individual from 150 years ago, they were probably imperialistic, anti-democratic, ‘racist’, patriarchal, religious authoritarians. If they were around today they would be considered ‘far-right’. In fact, if any left-wing politicians kept the same views over the last 20 years, they would be considered fringe right today. Obama and Clinton could oppose gay marriage in the 2000s, now they would not even dare criticise trans women competing in women’s sports.

More stuff. More stuff to regulate.
Yeah, you would think at some point they’d back off a bit, but nooooo...
Many people are greedy and lack empathy for other people. They want nice lives for themselves and they don’t care what they are setting their children up to deal with, with no benefits for them.
Who is that? Mitt Romney’s younger, Methodist brother?
“Let the devil take tomorrow”, eh? People will go out and buy an $80,000 pickup but will probably never show up for one parent-teacher meeting.
“ The author attempts to explain why the Left has gained ground over time.”
Attempt being key word?
Actually a very good read.

This author presents an interesting variation of:
Hard times create strong men.
Strong men create good times.
Good times create weak men.
And weak men create hard times.
We are now in the “weak men” phase. The good times have pushed the strong men aside. The weak men now rule.
It’s worth noting that this is not automatically an endless loop. The hard times might bring forth strong men. Or it could bring a complete collapse.
You have a point there. For years I’ve thought that eventually the wheels will fall off our gravy train and the survivors of the collapse will be so disunited that the United States will cease to exist.
The author is trying to convince his audience that leftism is inevitable. This article is more pseudo-intellectual agitprop.
Pink hair and oat milk.
“There really was some permanent rollback of the state in the 80s and 90s, however small that victory may have been. “
This is BS. Nothing is ever reversed. It is like a ratchet, which can only turn left.
The Obamacare “Repeal” was the archetype. None of the New Deal Programs or the Great Society Programs was every repealed.
Not in the USA, and not in any other Western country.

Correction: Pink hair and maggot milk.
Good times do not push aside strong men. Rather, good times do not raise strong men. Good times raise generations of pampered snowflakes.
Much like the French aristocracy of the 1700s. Born to Good Times, they were Weak Men and created the Hard Times of the 1790s.
[that the United States will cease to exist.]
This has troubled me for some time now, as it seems that the United States does not exist in Bible prophecy. No, we are not the Great Harlot of Babylon (though we often look like it, unfortunately).
Some believe that we may be one of the countries arising from the ashes to be part of the Beast’s world government. I’m not certain about that but given that many Godless are taking this nation down (very quickly I might add) it doesn’t seem completely far-fetched.
Why is America not mentioned in end-time prophecy in the Bible?

The indolent and those less equipped with the cognitive tools necessary to compete successfully will usually be attracted to collectivism.
