Actor and former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger (R) said that the traditional “climate change dialogue” is not going to work anymore, particularly when it comes to high-polluting countries.
Schwarzenegger joined MSNBC’s Jonathan Lemire on Thursday to discuss clean energy and climate solutions. Lemire asked “The Terminator” star how he would try to reach bigger polluters like China and India and warn them of the climate change effects.
“Well, I think that there will always be obstacles,” Schwarzenegger replied, later adding, “I think all of it has to do with communication.”
The former governor, who has been an avid exercise advocate, said in the past there was a major global push for fitness and living a healthy lifestyle and now every school, hotel and police station has a gymnasium. The same thing needs to happen with climate, he argued.
“We want to do the same thing here. I think this whole climate change dialogue is not going to work. I think this has been used for the last few decades,” he said, highlighted by Mediaite. “I think we should address it directly, what it is, which is pollution.”
“We want to terminate pollution. There’s the message we should get out there,” Schwarzenegger continued.
In the past, Schwarzenegger has dubbed climate change the “most important issue.” In office, he promoted clean air and energy policies.
In 2021, he criticized world leaders as “liars” and “stupid” for delaying on climate action in an attempt to protect economies.

Human activity is the cause of less than 1 percent of climate variation. Our sun has a far greater effect on the earth climate. Driving electric cars world wide will solve NOTHING except make the people poorer and make billionaire democrats richer.

There is a lot of pollution in China.
Focusing on “climate change” and trying to come up with schemes to eliminate life on earth by getting rid of carbon dioxide is not going to reduce that pollution.
In the US, we reduced pollution by installing pollution control devices in factories and motor vehicles and so forth. We did this when our economy became strong enough to support such cost-adding measures. China’s economy is becoming stronger, but does the citizenry have the will to convince their uncaring communist overlords to clean up the pollution?
All of these people spending billions of dollars on political propaganda could have instead used that money and their platforms to fund and promote forestation projects, land reclamation, etc. They have the funds and resources to make these changes themselves. They did not and are not.
That would actually have a substantial positive impact on the environment, regardless of “climate change” ... and they aren’t doing it. They could have been doing this for decades. How many entire forests could have been planted in Africa with the billions of dollars they’ve spent on political advertising and other propaganda to prevent and reverse desertification?
No one in the press would dare call them out on this.
