Melania Trump spotted in NYC with $33K Birkin handbag while Donald hits campaign trail 1,200 miles away

Former First Lady Melania Trump was snapped running around New York City with an extravagant handbag on her arm Tuesday, while her presidential hopeful hubby campaigns more than 1,200 miles away in Wisconsin.

Melania, wearing a head-to-toe all-white ensemble, was flanked by Secret Service guards as she ducked into Trump Tower.

The former model’s wedding band was on full display as she sported a matching white Hermes Birkin bag — which can fetch as much as $33,000 on the resale market.

The fashionista also appeared to be wearing Christian Louboutin flats, which retail for a comparatively reasonable $700.

First of all, I don't have to suck up to anyone, but that must be how you operate since you bring it up, and wrongly accuse someone else of doing it. Who am I supposed to be sucking up to? Please advise since you accused me of it.

Secondly, it's not your f-ing money, it's hers, so what the hell are you whining about it for? She earned her money fair and square on her own, and can spend it on whatever the frig she wants. Just because you think it's wrong, doesn't mean a God damned thing. Like me, you're nobody. You aren't her, and will never know her, and have no actual clue how much she paid for it. You simply embrace what the media wants you to believe, and run with it. Stop being so gullible, and go find something truly substantial to cry about.

The other first ladies look like homeless hags compared to her with the exception of Jackie Kennedy who comes in second compared to Melania.

I thought a number of Jackie's stylings were off kilter, particularly her shoes; but the Democrat media gushed no matter what, making snobbish comparison to the "plain cloth coats" of the Republican predecessors as if prudent spending was something to be ashamed of. Her clothing choices set off a period of Americans flaunting affluence (whether they actually have it or not) that has never ended.

But it's quite a stretch to say the other First Ladies looked homeless, or like hags! While Michelle, Hillary and Jill have terrible taste and Eleanor Roosevelt's very poor self-image was reflected in her appearance, I can't think of a single Republican FLOTUS who didn't look dignified and presentable. Laura Bush wore everything well, and Nancy Reagan was always well styled without overdoing it.

The whole idea in DC is to have Capital city style, but not fleeting fashion. Melania's background gives her the ability to straddle both worlds. She often walked a thin line, in my opinion, such as the extremely tight skirt outlining her bum that she wore when meeting Queen Elizabeth—just one inch wider around the hips would have made that skirt still hang well but not look not so revealing— however, Melania was always ultimately dignified, with correct European manners.

Almost everything Nancy Reagan wore 30 and 40 years ago could be worn today by women in serious roles -- she had great taste for classic styles.

Well, she appears to have the large-size bag, which for some reason is less popular than the small and medium sized Birkins. And it looks like plain white leather, not crocodile or unicorn hide or whatever other exotic leathers they offer. This is not to say that the bag itself didn’t start out as extremely expensive, but not $33,000.

Hermes was selling scarves for hundreds of dollars back in the eighties/nineties, when I worked nearby. It didn’t seem to matter to the customers, who were lined up like it was the scarf counter at Woolworth.
