I once saved a crow tangled in fishing line hanging from a utility wire.

We were surf fishing a few years ago and a stupid seagull dived in and swallowed my wife’s bait. It was not a fun time trying to disengage the seagull after we reeled him in...........

I read it as “cow” and was mightily confused.

Did that trolling for Bonita out of Ensenada in the 50’s.
The deck hand cut the line rather than attempt removing the hook.

Poor Crow, all tangled up & feeling blue.
Though, I’m not sure I would have been the one dialing 911 about it.
You can be sure, that particular Crow will never forget the faces of the people who freed him. He will communicate this knowledge to all of his pals, too.
I’ve always heard that Crows are very bright, and have a tight memory of people or certain features of that person in that location.

Does that show that cows can fly—or that cows can’t fly?
To: 9YearLurker
With enough power, even a cow can fly.

they are so bright that they have figured out that cars crush things like nuts- so they drop things liek walnuts, or whatever the area had on roadways, wait for cars to run over them and collect them when the traffic slows down
also they will remember faces for many years- and be able to pick them out of a crowd and either sound an alarm, or tell others that the friendly person is back- etc—

That’s one of the very few Bob Dylan songs I like.
The ballad told with a guitar’s strum. The double voice overlay.
I have always enjoyed that recording, since I first heard it. Back when Melissa Manchester was queen of the radio hits.
