A Minnesota transgender high school student had her jaw broken in two places after she used the men's bathroom.
Cobalt Sovereign, 17, says she was assaulted by a fellow student as she left the bathroom at Hopkins High School on May 30.
She said the student looked over the stall and called her a '******' and then punched her in the face as she was leaving.
Sovereign, who uses she/her pronouns, told KARE: 'I was hit in the jaw and at the time one of my teeth exploded, pieces in my mouth.'
She was rushed to hospital and had three titanium plates fitted in her jaw. The school took disciplinary action against the alleged assailant and Minnetonka police are investigating.
Sovereign said she was using the men's restroom in between classes when a fellow student peered into the stall she was in.
She told KARE: 'In the bathroom, he had looked over the stall directly where I was attempting to use the bathroom, and that is where he initially called me a ------ in the first place.'
She said she then left the stall and walked out of the bathroom, where he was waiting.
He then allegedly punched her in the face, breaking her jaw in two places and shattering a tooth.
She said: 'He had no reason to have anything against me, I've never talked to him, never done anything negative to him.
'And I was insulted and then eventually hit in the jaw.'
Sovereign was rushed to hospital where she underwent a long surgery to fit three titanium plates in her jaw.
The school has gender neutral bathrooms but they are often busy or out of the way.

You have replaced one perversion with another. Instead of falling to a demon of lust you have fallen to his brother, a demon of rage.
So what is a Spaniard living in socialist Spain doing lecturing Americans on internal affairs? It would be one thing if you were pushing for American values but you aren’t so go away.
If the events occurred as described in the article, the boy in question didn’t “need” protecting from the tranny.
Instead, he looked over into the stall (which in itself is a violation of the Bro Code), and allegedly waited outside of the bathroom to sucker-punch him.
No violence was initiated by the tyranny in this scenario.
Just a life lesson. All of us have to take it on the chin sometimes.

I have lived in the US for almost 40 years, most of my life. I had my career there, married and raised kids there. We retired in Spain.
My kids and the bulk of my assets are still in the US. What you do and what happens to you matters enormously to me.
“American values” are much more generic-human than you think. Maybe it takes experience and perspective to see it, but its not hard to get that point if you pay attention.
Your argument amounts to closing your mind to a message that doesnt massage your ego.
There is opposition to the homo-tranny cult the world over, not least in Europe. Indeed, that whole thing was an import from the US (as are so many modern depravities). And it is being opposed far more effectively in Europe, even Britain, than it is in the US.
Your problem though is personal.
