Polling last month from an I&I/TIPP Poll indicated that 15% of Republican voters choose Florida Governor Ron DeSantis as their first choice for VP, while 14% choose him as their second choice for VP — both numbers were the highest of all the candidates listed.

I thought you couldn’t have the President and VP reside in the same state. What is the purpose of having Rubio and DeSantis mentioned as potential VP. Would they actually move out of Florida? (a la Dick Cheyney)

How do each of these candidates help Trump win?
Which states does he need help in?
Florida? NY? Ohio?
Carson could help deliver the black vote.
What impact would that have on swing states?

I think Ben Carson would be a good pick. He can tell Trump how The Swamp operates from the POV of an agency director that has served for some years.

I couldn’t trust Vance as VP after some of the horrible things he said about Trump.

Ew... Rubio??????

He reminds me of the high school kid who won the class president and then started coming to school with a suit and tie

Operation Fortitude redux...?

Oh, wouldn’t that be sweet.

And fitting considering whom we’re dealing with...

I’m hoping that the absence of Vivek’s name means something more than what it might appear to mean.

I like Carson, but I don’t think he has the fight in him to go up against the swamp. I don’t like the rino contingency, that is Rubio, Stefanik, and I don’t know enough about the others to comment. I really dislike Stefanik. Her voting record stinks.

Which ones help Trump the most in terms of getting votes?

Whoever Trump chooses, he needs to stay away from anyone in congress. We don’t need to chance loosing that seat to a democrat.

Don’t care which one as long as he is an attack dog for Trump.

Carson should top the list because he served in Trump’s first term and has remained loyal to him. He would also appeal to African-Americans who are defecting to Trump, especially males. Rep. Byron Donalds would be my next choice, but he hasn’t demonstrated loyalty to Trump. I like that he helped end McCarthy’s collaboration with the Rats. Doug Burgum I don’t know enough about, and I don’t know how Trump could pick him. The U.S. Senate has proved to be a nest of vipers and the only reason to pick one of them would be to remove them from the Senate. That’s a dangerous game to play. See LBJ. An ambassdorship to some desirable country would do the same thing.

Didn’t Trump say two or three months ago that he’d already made his pick?

Marco Rubio was all for (and voted for) the Gang of 8 Amnesty bill in 2012.

So no thank you!

And Tim Scott endorsed Lisa Murkowski.

So no thank you!

When push came to shove, these two were on the other side!

Frankly, I think JD Vance would be a good pick.

In 1950, Richard Nixon was elected to the senate, then two years later he was the GOP VP nominee.

In 2022, JD Vance was elected to the senate, and two years later he could be the GOP VP nominee.

Sen. Kennedy.

Would get these commies by the throat and not let go. The only guy who could possibly clean up the DOJ.

The only guy with guts and legal knowledge to oversee a true reform of our corrupt government.

Watch him grind on the poseurs who want to be federal judges and you will like it a lot.

I’m still on the Byron Donalds train. Incredible public speaker and so right on the issues! However, I suspect it will be Rubio and Donalds will be the next governor of my state, Florida. Of all of them, Rubio is in the sweet spot of age and experience and is also a very good speaker. His past positions on some of the issues is a negative, so I would still rather have Donalds.

If it is one of these, I’d bet it’s Carson.

He is a good balance of Trump in many ways.

I still don’t believe Joe will go the distance before November and that Hilary or Big Mike will be air dropped in to replace him.
