Maybe her husband shot her, threw her in the pond and the gator saw free food.
You never know how she died, she was just seen being eaten by a gator.

Shooting the alligator didn’t help. It was just being what it was. Didn’t exactly climb a tree to attack her. Maybe she was dead when she fell or was tossed into the water.
