A man arrested this month in connection with what authorities described as "serial slingshot" shootings in Azusa has died.
Prince King, 81, died Wednesday at a home, according to the LA County Medical Examiner. The cause of death was arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease, according to the medical examiner's office.
King was released from custody Tuesday morning on his own recognizance and made his first court appearance this week in connection with the vandalism that neighbors said had gone on for about 10 years in the San Gabriel Valley neighborhood. Dozens of people in the neighborhood reported windows, car windshields and other property damaged by ball bearings that were found in their yards.

I always carry a slingshot while bowhunting.

In case of bears? (j/k)
How many years did he live in the neighborhood is the question I think
When I was in junior high, we used to have some very good slingshot wars during china berry season.
GET OUT OF MY YARD!! Guy.
I'm 75 and have one. Really hard now with my shoulder. Pellet guns are much easier to shoot when plinking in the back yard.
That dog never saw me. Luckiest shot ever.
It is a 2BR 1100 sf home built in 1946. He could have bought it decades ago and already paid it off.
No but squirrel and crow can mess up a hunt.

If that’s the case, he could have sold with a big profit, then moved somewhere away from all those neighbors that seemed to annoy him so much.

Someone said he had dementia. Scary to leave his familiar surroundings.
Besides, $640k is is big profit only if he moves out of state.
Did similar with a pellet gun. Used it to shoot squirrels in their backside to shoo them out of the trees above my house. They had great amusement picking acorns from the oak trees and throwing them down onto the roof. They’d stop when I came outside. A few weeks of pellet gun rebuking and they got the message and stayed out of the trees. I rewarded them by filling up the deer feeder 2 months early.

“Train leaving on Track 5 for Anaheim, Azusa and Cuuuu-ca-mon-gaaa!”
I need another air rifle, my pump-up Daisy just gave out after 30+ years. I can still shoot a slingshot OK, but my own shoulder doesn’t let me use a David-and-Goliath type sling these days. Too bad, because I really used to like throwing rocks with one of those. Never very accurate, but good for distance.
He could have reviewed books to pass the time.
A well made slingshot with a ball bearing can kill you. Just sayin’.

Back in my day we didn’t have ball bearings per se but used
what ever we could find. Rocks, acorns, marbles, etc.
