Hubby was laid off twice at the start of his career.
Turned out to be for very short periods.
He looked for work, got called back before he found it the first time.
Took a different job before he got called back the last time, and that leap of faith of he made started him on his way to a job he loved until he reluctantly retired.
But both times he was laid off he kept making his student loan payments.
And he paid his loan off in its entirety though it took quite a few years.
I have neither sympathy nor empathy for people who think they are entitled to have someone else pay off their loans.
Biden obviously does every rotten anti-American thing his boss Obama tells him. What a low life piece of trash Biden is. He has spent over 50 years in DC. He obviously knows zip about the average American or even what normal people do.
SCOTUS also told President Jackson he could not send the five eastern tribes to Oklahoma, off their lands in the east.
He said “They’ve made their decision now they can enforce it.”

Our rulers favor Islam because it is a ready-made system of totalitarian control over the peaseantry.
That will be a long wait. Those ex-students will never pay their loans, or the taxes due from the forgiveness of their loans.
Oh, the government will keep them on the hook for taxes, but as long as they vote right, there will be executive directions to the IRS to delay collection efforts.
There might even be tax credits for persons attending approved riots, - err "mostly peaceful protests" against designated Enemies of the State.
You, on the other hand, as a middle-class taxpayer will see armed IRS agents in your home, come to take everything that you have, should you offend the rulers in some fashion.
We all know where this is going.
If it is a public service loan forgiveness it is not taxable at the federal level. Only a few states will consider it taxable.
Of course, if I forgive a debt to you…the whole thing is taxable.
Next comes forgiving Credit Card debt.

But that largess will be extended only to supporters of the régime. You and I will not be qualified for the program. Check the fine print and the appendices on the executive order.
But only if you are a deadbeat whose student loan was forgiven.
