I met Matt Drudge by the Washington Monument during the Freeper March for Justice back in 1998. Other Freepers met him that day as well. He was super famous at the time for breaking the Monica Lewinsky/Bill Clinton sex scandal in the White House.

He started a news aggregator web page at just the right time and caught lightning in a bottle.

Made millions.

Now he sits on a beach somewhere, letting other people run his site for him. He still technically owns it but I'm pretty sure he is no longer involved in the day to day.

Drudge Report has basically been the "DNC Report" since about 2018 (and has fallen greatly from its once lofty perch, it uses to be a top ten site visits news site, last time I checked I think it was barely in the top 40.

I've heard various reasons, from Matt Drudge having sold it to Google and not even having any direct involvement anymore. To Drudge blaming Trump and the right for outing him as gay back around 2018 and turning The Drudge Report into a far-left propaganda site in revenge.
