They are now using lawfare all over the place now. They are going after people who claim that the 2020 election was stolen.

Why do our FBI agents so regularly abuse their power?
They do it because there is absolutely no check on their power and authority.

Because they have no fear of arrest or lengthy prison terms or execution.

Abuse of their authority is the purpose of their existence.

Not a recent thing. In the 70s the FBI ran the ABSCAM scam. In essence they offered bribes to political figures under the guise of “enticing.” They proved a known fact, waive money in front of a politician and they will take it. Problem was they initiated the contacts leading some career government attorneys to balk at bringing charges. Obviously those prosecutors are gone because it is anything the AG wants gets done.

Abolish the FBI. Defund it completely and scatter its agents to the four winds.
America did plenty well enough before the FBI. It can do so again.

The problem is not so much the rank and file (useful idiots), it is the upper echelons whose loyalty is more to the Deep State and its defense than it is to America and The Constitution they swore to “protect and defend”.

When I read the AT article this morning, the first thing I thought is that the FBI may be recruiting people who are in compromised positions that can be exploited by the FBI higher ups.

Yawn. I guess the title is rhetorical? Is the question answered in the article at some point?

It was corrupt from the beginning. J. Edgar wielded power and influence and it has been a tool of the elite ever since.
