I’m afraid you are right, but Trump isn’t stupid and he can change tactics on the fly, and give them hell on national TV.
That’s why they chose CNN first.

They are setting the bar so low that as long as he doesn’t crap his pants he “wins” the debate. It won't actually be a debate, but merely Biden-supporting talking heads asking them each questions, which Biden will either get in advance or his campaign will write, while they are sitting at a table. Biden will mumble through his pre-written and poll tested answers. Then the talking heads will debate Trump. Afterwards, the MSM will unanimously declare that Biden won the debate with the greatest performance in the history of Presidential debates.
