NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. - A 10-foot alligator was caught making himself at home inside the pool of a home in New Smyrna Beach, according to police.
The alligator was spotted overnight Tuesday in the Venetian Bay neighborhood, according to the New Smyrna Beach Police Department. Police said the gator broke through the screen to get inside the pool area.
Two officers with the New Smyrna Beach Police Department snapped a selfie with the big fella before contacting a trapper with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, who safely removed the gator from the pool.

Just another day in Paradise....................
Where does a 10 ft alligator sit ?
Anywhere he wants
Bet no neighbor kids sneak in to use the pool!
Maybe they did.....................
Do you have to change the pool water after this?
No, but I would anyways......................
As a punishment for trespassing this alligator should be relocated to the Rio Grande.
Did it respond to the name “Fred”? Mine’s missing.
I agree!

My wife says our pool is too warm.
“Florida cops doing Florida things!”
Didn’t look like anyone else was using the pool anyway. Gators gotta have a little fun too!
They certainly look happy about it! Liberals who want to make him a pet? Alligator whisperers?
Never mind they’re cops
Example: a few weeks ago some liberal 'protesters' decided to shut down a road to Disney. Eleven minutes later, even before angry drivers could start cussing - the Florid police arrived and arrested the protesters. Something that goes on for hours in other states was over in minutes. In Florida anyone can protest but NOT while blocking traffic. .
Then, a month ago some 'squatters' took over a home and within 20 minutes they were arrested and removed. No court battles, no hiring high priced lawyers, no month's of waiting - just call the cops and the squatters are GONE within 15 to 20 MINUTES.
Sounds like the place to be!
Big Guy will have red eyes with all that chlorine.
They’re gonna’ need a chainmail enclosure to keep those gators out.
They all do!.......
