The downturn of the pandemic economy has hit many groups hard. But for many millennials — those born between 1981 and 1996 — and Generation Z, who follow them, that pain — plus a number of other factors — are creating questions about who is responsible. Over the next few nights, economics correspondent Paul Solman is going to examine this. He begins tonight from the perspective of some millennials.

Eff you millenials and ze-ers.
Mods pull if too controversial.
Boomers were bad parents. They spared the rod and now look what we’ve got.
‘Eff you millenials and ze-ers’
My thoughts exactly. They’re all a bunch of spoiled brats in need of a good hard spanking.
It is pathetic that a generation is looking to scapegoat their parents and grandparents. Whatever happened to the Fifth Commandment?
I had nothing but the utmost respect for my parents and grandparents. It would never have occurred to me to blame them for my own failures.
Yup we went to war, not the latte shop.
Three year old article.
I will happily watch his head explode...
I really don’t care what they think
Agreed most of us had to rebuild our lives from scratch after coming home to a not too friendly situation.
Daycare didn’t help. I homeschooled starting in 1986. I listened “Point of View” on the radio and knew the schools were bad.
Not getting their collectivist asses beat as young ‘uns................
We must hate. Hatred is the basis of communism. Children must be taught to hate their parents if they are not communists. That is at the core of the youth and their unnatural hatred for elders.

My guess is that they resent having to pay into social security for people they view as wealthy and not needing it, while hearing from the LAAP-dog media that it won't be around for them.
Add on their student debt burden and they resent "paying for" the retirement of seniors.

Boomers are now running America and are ultimately responsible for the fall of America. Hard fact.
Friday work is optional (try and get a dr. or dentist appt friday afternoon or even friday!), Working saturday? - get the boomer to work,
"I got a life"
and they blame their parents for "never taking them to disneyworld" .
Because Dad was putting a roof over their head, paying for shoes and braces, and SAVING some, for retirement, working overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Dad never had a life to give you yours, and that's the thanks we get.
Probably blame them for sending decent paying jobs overseas and turning America into an ethnic dumping ground. I wouldn’t exactly pin that on boomers though necessarily.
Generational stereotyping is for morons. I have only contempt for people who do it.

Yes, but they were raised by boomers.
They can’t wrap their brains around rotary phones and stick shifts, and it bugs them.
Could be that they came, ate and destroyed the American Dream, licked their fingers clean and left their grandkids with very little.
Maybe the Locust Generation?
