They are people too they are managing this and have to maintain control of the crime scene they are organizing the dynamic situation. Do what they say and don’t do what they say not to do. "Officer", I assume ... and this statute should not exist. Whatever supposedly good intentions led to its passage have become irrelevant. It is now nothing more than a tool for oppression by butthurt public servants.
