I would. Because there could be someone else who has a bad idea.
Same reason as going to Church incase the Uniformed Local PD who is there needs Backup. And there’s a good chance that I will have more full mags of spare ammo ready to put to use.

When my daughter graduated from Univ of WY in 2010, a relative who is a police officer brought/wore a firearm under his blazer. It was, frankly, sort of comforting to know that he had it, TBH.

I would and still take my side arm to school any time I visit them.
But then as a LEO and now a retired LEO. I just thought of it as part of the job.
