T Coronae Borealis is not “near” Corona Borealis. It’s in it. They probably meant to say that it’s near Alpha Coronae Borealis.

If you’ve got your thinking cap on, you should be asking “If information can’t travel faster than light, why do we know we’re going to see an exploding star in October?”

The simple answer is “explosion” has a different meaning in astronomical circles than it did to Guy Fawkes. To astronomers, it doesn’t mean the star blows itself to pieces (which, obviously, is a it only can do once). It’s more like a flare-up or brightening that occurs cyclically. And the next cycle is due to begin in a few months.

Nothing to see here, move along.
