Have given her discography a closer listen. There's a single or two and a few lesser known songs I like, not love. However: what I do admire is the overall way she carries herself, her writing and sovereignty over the direction her career has taken, and the stacks of of business/marketing cards she and her team have played right for the long haul. It's a study in success for the ages. And they clearly learned to avoid the pitfalls of artists of stature before her. It's also a testament to America's continued cultural 'soft power' domination around the globe despite it being in decline in just about every other area.

It is much harder than most people realize to write simple, catchy pop songs. There’s a reason that people who do it well and consistently are quite wealthy.
