Czarists, then Communists colonized Kazakhstan with Russians and Ukrainians. Stalin collectivized the nomadic Kazakhs, confiscating their herds, and starving them. Now it's a dessert of arable land with nobody to till the earth.
Studious ignorance. Their climate was changed by the Soviets. If all you’re going to do is respond to headlines and stick up for your pal Vlad, who’s only mentioned at the end along with his pal Medvedev, then don’t. Don’t. Either listen to the presentation and comment on the information contained therein, or have a nice life.
The most I ever heard was 3.9 million Ukes, which is still major.
Do you even know how to start a tractor?
Post of the day.
I’m stealing that!
Who knows. Komrad Stalin might have done that to their dairy cows’ output.
Kazakhstan was always an empty land. The Soviets settled people from European Russia there, to the point where the Kazakhs were a minority in their own country, but most of those newcomers have moved back to Russia or Ukraine.
Russia’s Cape Canaveral (or is it still Cape Kennedy) is Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.
Communism. It’s to die for.
I think the real answer as to why few live there is because no one want to live there.
Two great minds, one great thought! (-;
Yes, the climate and the conditions were caused by the Soviets. I am not disputing that. I watched the presentation. Thanks for the link. I am disputing the underlying value judgement that somehow life there is inferior to the west. It may be so materially, but in other, more important ways, is superior.
The Russians have built the Vostochny Cosmodrome in the Far East, in the future, they’re expected to use that more.
Being dependent on other countries for your supply line is a recipe for disaster, as Joseph Stolen has amply demonstrated. Grow your own food. Make your own energy. If you can, build your own automobiles, guns and ammunition. Great Re-set is coming.
I fail to see where that “underlying value” is expressed. Under the Soviets it was a sh!t show. A major lake was destroyed. Land and people were contaminated with nuclear fall-out. Once Russia stopped sticking its hand in, the country slowly but surely righted itself, and the Russians are still there, but not quite gone yet. Medvedev openly threatened to re-take Kazakhstan as Russia already did to Crimea. Then he claimed that somebody hacked his twitter account and put that post in there. Whatever. Western values are nowhere mentioned that I could see.
Parenthetically, there is a video from 2019 of Russian witches publicly casting a spell to make Putin successful in all his endeavors. Great traditional values, that.
Or from.
Good, make a deal and ship all Indians (Asian) and Mexicans to them. Let them help rebuild the country.
The Kazakhs were nomads. The Czars settled Russians and Ukrainians there to farm, and the Soviets tried to compel the nomadic Kazakh drovers to settle into collectives and do the same, demonizing successful drovers the way they did the Kulaks. Same result as in Ukraine. Mass starvation.
*It’s gonna be the future center of the world, with millions of us going working the land for our massas.* I thought Lahina was being prepared-path of lest resistance.
*Kazahkstan produces 1.7 million barrels/day of oil.
This exceeds every African country, including Libya and Nigeria.*
Do the Russians own it? Guess not.
“Communism. It’s to die for.”
Bump!!!
The geographic cape is back to Cape Canaveral. The facility is the Kennedy Space Center.
Astana is now considered to be a UN HQ of some sorts. The Russians are in on the Globalist scheme, they just want to have it on their terms.
