The Boys Scouts of America is changing its name to "Scouting America", marking the first change in its 114 years. The change is to make it more inclusive.
I see those as two separate issues. The homo/dykes issue applies to all organizations for children, regardless of single sex or co-ed. Under no circumstances should queers of any stripe be in positions of authority over children.
You’re afraid boys won’t be able to talk about how they want to screw girls?
I think that's very cynical question. You seriously think that talking about sex is the only reason why boys/girls could benefit from a single-sex environment?

The idea is to have adult leaders the same sex as the kids and not be sexually attracted to them. Why is that so difficult to comprehend?
Men(boys) have different interests and approaches to life than Women(girls). The percentage of young boys raised by single moms is very high. In addition, most of their elementary school teachers are female. Having ONE group where these boys was exposed to older males and how they do and organize things was just too much. Then these women wonder why boys gravitate toward computer games. They are just too self-centered and stupid to figure it out.
The Social Security administration staffers don't run around in uniforms.

Modernist ideology holds, in contradiction to human nature, that men and women, boys and girls, are interchangeable. That false ideology is causing disastrous social consequences.

The Boy Scouts of America will rebrand to Scouting America, reflecting the organization’s ongoing commitment to welcome every youth and family in America to experience the benefits of Scouting.
The change will go into effect on February 8, 2025.

My son eagled out in 2010. I was a merit badge counselor.

I have always respected guys who made Eagle Scout, though I never did (only made 2nd Class) because back then, recall you really did have to do stuff to get it. It wasn’t an esteem award.
As a kid observing the process, it seemed insurmountable to me, so when I saw a kid make it, I really was impressed. It carried weight with it.
I visited the Boy Scouts camp in Cimarron, NM in 2008; glad I was there before the organization self-destructed.
It wasn’t an esteem award. You are right. In High School the kids that got the glory were the athletes and their accomplishments. My son was a band geek and a Boy Scout. He got a $2,500 college scholarship because he was an Eagle Scout.
It does pain me to see what they have become, and the path they took to get there saddens me.
I agree with what others have said...what has happened to the Boy Scouts is part of a deliberate effort to destroy what is good and estimable in America and replace it with evil.
Hey, you made 2nd class. That was something. One of my longtime friends made tenderfoot and never went up from there. That was something he bragged about. He joined up for the adventures not for any kind of rank.
LOL, I got lots of adventure! I learned a lot of life skills from the Scouts...:)
The new name should be;
Brokeback Badges.
