Well, Bristol-Myers-Squibb found years ago that the key ingredient in their anti-cancer drug Taxol is the bark of the Pacific Yew Tree. Baro can be pretty amazing stuff.

I have a lab diagnosed adenocarcinoma of the ampulla of Vater. I'm very anemic and I suspect the cancer is continuing to promote a gastric bleed. I discontinued all blood thinners in January including my usual 800 mg ibuprofen at bedtime to deal with head to toe pain from rheumatoid arthritis. After all the interventions, my blood work still looks bad. Low hemoglobin and ferretin. The staff at the University of Utah Huntsman Cancer Clinic finally contacted me this morning. The earliest I can come in for a consult preliminary to a Whipple procedure is May 17th. That's just to talk about it. No idea how much longer to schedule the resources to do the procedure.
