Can't believe that was 5 years ago.
Mods pull if too controversial.
Talk about Trump good times.
Too many obese women of color wanting Endless Shrimps?
Um…. The quality is not very high?
When I was a starving student in Atlanta we used to hit this one all-you-can-eat occasionally and back then I thought it was pretty good. One of my roommates actually overindulged to the point he stretched his stomach lol (no permanent damage). That was forty years ago and I think my taste and financial means have improved since then.
There is a Chinese place close to me that still does a great lunch buffet. Be prepared to eat! $15.00… which is about a Big Mac meal lol.
Eating is not a contest.
Went to an Asian Buffet a few weeks ago for lunch in the Detroit Area, $20 per adult. It was pretty good with Sushi, but still pricy. Dinner is $30.

Grew up with Lake Highlands, Furrs, and Luby’s...mmm
Hello Trump shut down the country and things have been on the decline ever since . Millions lost everything including small family restaurants .
Have you heard any apologize for putting Dem scarf lady and Dr Evil in charge .
I hope Golden Corral doesn’t croak. I usually hit that place up a few times a year.
Buffets have been dying for a while. Realistically they’re all ripoffs, tons of super cheap highly filling food. Most of it not very good, left in a steam tray to rot and pre-ferment. Even before 2020 I think Tucson was down to half a dozen. I don’t miss them.
They used to be everywhere.
Lubys, Bonanza, Golden Corrale (still going), Piccadilly, etc.
Malls usually had one.
Lizzo, Stacey Abrams and Gorlock the Destroyer have pretty much wiped them out.
They’re not good. And people are disgusting. 🤮
The United States has become the country of self indulgence and obesity.........
We have a Sirloin Stockade still going strong in my hometown. I was there last week.
Governor Cresote?
Chris Krispy Kreme?
I liked the dessert and salad bars at the Ponderosa when I was a kid, lol.
I love a good Indian buffet.
When I was a starving college student at the U of A, there was a Chinese buffet down the street from where I lived. We would go there around closing time and they would let us take home as much leftovers as we wanted.
Most of the cafeteria chains have bitten the dust, as well. Luby’s has a few locations left that haven’t closed, but it’s been all downhill since they hired a new chief executive, he looked at the books for a few weeks, got a motel room, and killed himself. (If I remember all the details from a quarter of a century or so ago.)
Piccadilly is down to less than 30 locations, and it looks like there is one Morrison’s left (which is owned by Piccadilly - looks like a trademark preservation exercise). That’s down from 270 or so locations. (At its peak, Morrisons had over 150 locations.
S&W is long dead. Davis Brothers is as well, although the Big Chicken lives.
