Video shows car flying through parking lot and crashing just out of view
First aid was issued to a total of 15 victims, including children and adults. Nine of them — three kids and six adults — were transported to local hospitals with serious life-threatening injuries, according to police.
Two children, an 8-year-old girl and a 5-year-old boy, were pronounced dead at the scene. Police said they were siblings.
Looks like he crashed into a home. At least 30 mph.
Regardless of his residency status, I’m guessing another catch and release criminal.
Thanks to our legal system.
The cops should have shot the perp on the spot.

No. It was a drunk female that crashed into the Swan Creek boat club. A public venue.
It was a 66 year old drunk female according to the Monroe County Sheriff. No name released yet.
I see. Still, that meant crashing through a solid structure.
I hate drunk drivers.

Back in 1958 when my dad was driving to work one night he saw the headlights of a car coming weaving all over the road. He pulled completely off the road, stopped and was still hit head on by the drunk. Both survived.
It happens with drunks.

I firmly believe that bars should be (and are) responsible for damages done by over serving their customers.
In this case the bar is likely an accessory to manslaughter.

Agreed. Over-serving happens everywhere, all the time. Patrons who are falling-down drunk get served yet another drink.
On the other hand, over-serving is not always easy to prove. A group at a table orders a pitcher. One guy at the table is already drunk. Tough for the server to know that.
One thing is for sure. Courts are way, way too easy on first- and second-time DUI drivers. First offense? Maybe spend a week in jail, and your car is impounded for a month. Second offense? Spend two years in jail, and your car is seized.
Sorry. In my last paragraph in post #16, I’m talking about DUI drivers who don’t cause any injury. Those that do deserve years in prison even for a first offense.
In 2001 a drunk woman hit me head on. I got a lawyer and sued the corner store where she bought her latest six pack.
And wouldn’t ya know - the video - like Epstein’s video - had malfunctioned. No proof she was there. I didn’t collect.
No one at the bar, after serving her and watching her drink apparently multiple drinks, had the sense to call the cops, call a taxi or Uber, or simply refuse to let her drive away? The family of the two deceased siblings are going to own that bar and its insurance company.
The poor family; to go from a happy and joyful birthday party with friends to such an avoidable tragedy. How awful!
At least you sued that corner store. Good move. While you didn’t get any money, it was a shot across their bow. Maybe, just maybe, they’re more careful now.
