Does the flush include severe nausea?

After my husband was poisoned I tried doing what the Riordan Clinic in Wichita recommended to chelate. It made him so sick he couldn’t handle it. He begged me to stop. If I had somehow forced him to keep at it would it eventually have gotten better for him?

The “what if’s” are a terrible thing to live with.

I found the flush is better handled with a regimen of increasing doses.
The flush fades away after about an hour (less as you acclimate).
Start at 250mg daily.
[Since I am an early riser, I take mine with my morning coffee]
Once the flush becomes less noticeable, move to 500mg, 1gr, etc.
The flush will always be evident but becomes manageable over time.
If you miss some doses (2+), the stronger flush will return.
Stick with it.
Most agree that a goal of 3gr is best for lipid control.
That could take up to 3 months of increasing doses.

I doubt it would make him sick as Niacin is needed for converting food to energy.
It \will\ make him uncomfortable.
Taking a nice, hot, shower is impossible during the flush.

I have my blood-lipid scheduled for end of May.
Doctor is aware that I am taking it so we are both interested in the results.
[I’m up to 2gr/day]
