China also will expand into the North western regions of a now desolate topography, soon to be green with a surplus of electrical power.
China has a lot of problems. They may strike out like a wounded animal as they get deeper into trouble, but I don’t think China is really in a position to take over the world.
I worked at three remote natural gas-to-urea plants in China in fall, winter, and spring of ‘76-‘77. It was generally like stepping back 2,000 years.
Good one.
A nation without power and running water in a lot of it is going to dominate the world.
Billion people yet have created nothing to improve the lives of mankind.
It take extraordinary hate to claim the grass is always greener while living in the only super power left on earth.
Some people lack the wit to distinguish between "can't" and "won't".
Their commentary on world affairs has little value.
It has problems but it has already eclipsed America. We are yesterday’s news.
China can never catch up to the U.S. economically. China is where it is now, only because it has been helped by the U.S. and Europe and a host of other western-style countries.
On its own, China lacks the ingenuity and initiatives to create a self-sustaining economy. China has a lot of smart people, but they’re not free to innovate and create and advance on their own. The freedoms and creative spirits and initiatives and creativity that Americans have had since forever, are what has made America wealthy and the envy of the world. China lacks most of that, and without their thefts of intellectual properties and without the build-up that came from the U.S. and others, China would still be the China of 50 years ago.
We’re back to the 1930s where all the US statists and progressives (not to mention the marxists) assumed that the centralized power, planning and decision-making of Soviet Communists would naturally overtake the chaotic, individualist and greedy capitalist world
its a fascists/communists wet dream and we are hearing it again from them about China
I do not deny that China is at a place where it can marshall resources to build bullet trains or new nuclear reactors every month. It is all very real.
But the costs and consequences are not talked about and are certainly not understood in the West.
They building up underdeveloped countries by which they can replace the US. The way we turned out to be I don’t blame them. We now need China more then they need us because they buy our debt, but that is changing according to bond stats. Since our government is stupid here what makes anyone think we aren’t stupid everywhere?
How fast can they replace the I-695 bridge in Baltimore?
Nope. The ChiComs are collapsing. Belt and Road as a massive failure. Their internal contradictions are starting to force them to come apart at the seams. And their energy demand soon will curtail much of what they do.
I’m reminded of Speer’s big building projects for a failing Nazi economy.
China is in huge economic trouble. Trouble that isn’t going away. They are not taking over the world. 🙄
If I had to pick an infrastructure project that we need, I would say rails. We need to update our rails. Our rails are still in the 1920s and 30s.
Don’t forget the superhighway from South America to our border to increase the ongoing invasion. If China succeeds in destroying us, they become Number One by default.
Nonsense
Any of these involved feeding themselves?
Clickbait propaganda.
Despite the Soetoro / Xiden regime’s roadblocks, US gas and oil production is at an all time high.
