There are no Trump guys in Washington. Not one.
Trump thought that his appointments would instill at least some loyalty. But these career political bureaucrats are not like people in the private sector. They know they can’t be easily fired. Once appointed, they do whatever they want. We’ve seen this on the Supreme Court forever.
Since you didn’t watch the video. Yes, he is Trump’s guy. Powell doesn’t like Trump. Trump was trying to figure out how to fire him.
The Fed sent him a recommendation, which he was required to hire.
That recommendation was Powell.
Trump was sabatoged by all of the GOP establishment people surrounding him and advising him.
Trump thought he could rely on GOP advisors to give him sound advice. Instead, they sabotaged him at every turn. All of the appointment he was advised by them for cabinet positions and other positions, backfired. He would have done better to get advice from his own people, but Washington DC is a very tight old boys club, and he had a limited number of people who knew how DC works, and they were all Deep State.
NOBODY was “a Trump guy”. They all hated him and opposed him and worked against him.
I mean, Trump “picked” Fauci too, when he was shoved down Trump’s throat as being the “expert” for the pandemic response. How did that work out.
